George Groves vs. Badou Jack: Fight Announced, Comments and Reaction
George Groves will receive his third shot at landing a world title in an intriguing match-up against Badou Jack.
Team Sauerland, Groves' promoters, confirmed the Englishman will head to the United States to fight for the WBC super-middleweight belt, although the date and venue of the contest remain unknown:
Jack is promoted by Floyd Mayweather Jr, so it's a possibility Groves may appear on Pretty Boy's next undercard, reported by James Whaling of the Mirror. Mayweather is expected to next enter the ring in September, per Bryan Graham of the Guardian. This is likely to take place at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Arena, like Mayweather's previous 11 fights, per Boxrec.

Groves previously lost two world-title fights against Carl Froch, the second coming in front of an 80,000 packed crowd at London's Wembley Stadium in May 2014. Since then, he has beaten Christopher Rebrasse and Denis Douglin.
The 27-year-old has his eyes set on a unification battle with James DeGale after taking on Jack: "I would fight James again, no problem at all, and I think it is inevitable we will meet again when the time is right," Groves told ESPN.
Jack is on a three-fight winning streak, having recently toppled Anthony Dirrell in Chicago. Groves is his mandatory challenger.
