NBA Lottery Results 2015: Latest Mock Drafts from Around the Web
The 2015 NBA lottery results are in and the Minnesota Timberwolves are officially on the clock. With the NBA draft order now intact, mock drafts from across the web are beginning to flow in as we try to figure out how to the first round will play out.
Last night, the Timberwolves hit the lottery and will select first in the 2015 NBA draft on June 25 in Brooklyn, New York. The Lakers will pick second, the 76ers third, the Knicks fourth and the Magic fifth.
Overall, the three mock drafts from Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman, NBADraft.net and ESPN's Chad Ford all have a consensus top five picks. From there, it gets interesting.
Of course, these NBA mock drafts stand without rumored trades of teams aiming to move out of their current position or trying to move up to nab players. Among the teams rumored to have interest in moving in or out of their spots include the Knicks and the No. 4 overall pick.
"At No. 4, expect that the Knicks draft pick will be very available in trade talks.

As mentioned earlier, the top five picks among all three mock drafts are unanimous. All three experts peg Karl-Anthony Towns at No. 1 followed by Jahlil Okafor at No. 2 to the Lakers. After that, they expect D'Angelo Russell to fall to the Sixers, Emmanuel Mudiay to land in New York and Orlando to draft Kristaps Porzingis.
Though it remains early in the process, a consensus now will likely stay as is barring trades out of the top five picks or an injury. The five prospects at the top appear to be the class of the 2015 draft.
Largely, Towns' teammate Willie Cauley-Stein and Okafor's teammate Justise Winslow are considered good bets to come off the board soon after between the sixth and 10th pick. Croatia's Mario Hezonja, Arizona's Stanley Johnson and Texas' Myles Turner are also in that same boat.
Interestingly enough, these players will all be frontcourt additions to the NBA teams drafting them. Cauley-Stein is rumored to be on a lot of teams' wish lists and could lead to the Kings receiving a lot of calls about the No. 6 overall pick.
2015 Naismith Men's College Player of the Year Frank Kaminsky is widely considered a pick between Nos. 10-20, a notch below Okafor and Towns among centers in this draft class. His mate, Sam Dekker, as well as Notre Dame's Jerian Grant and Kansas' Kelly Oubre should come off the board in that range.
Beyond the top 10 is when the college standouts are anticipated to hear their names get called. Kaminsky is the interesting name here because a lot will depend on how NBA scouts view him as a professional player. The size and offensive skill set is apparent, but often that's the hardest transition college centers have to make in the pros.
The biggest shakeup among the three mock drafts comes in the final 10 picks. There, we see teams drafting for need or taking the best players available. Among the most interesting picks include smaller-school prospects such as R.J. Hunter (Georgia St.) and another international player in Macedonia's Cedi Osman.
Better-known prospects that appear to be late first-round selections include Louisville's Montrezl Harrell, LSU standouts Jordan Mickey and Jarell Martin, Syracuse's Chris McCullough and Virginia's Justin Anderson.
At this point in the draft, it's teams selecting potential contributors or high-ceiling prospects. Unlike the top five picks, these players are not going to be counted on to be stars right away. Still, in players like Harrell and Martin, among others, there's certainly a lot of talent to work with for the contenders picking at the end of the round.
