Bay to Breakers 2015 Results: Most Bizarre Costumes, Photos from Historic Race
Smack middle in the seriousness of marathon season each year comes a breath of fresh air out of San Francisco thanks to the Bay to Breakers event.
A bit of serious racing and a wealth of goofiness exemplifies the historic offering, and this past Sunday was no different as participants got up bright and early, donned creative costumes and made the trek.
In the wake of Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad characters, Kenyans Isaac Mukandi Mwangi and Jane Kibii distanced themselves from the pack to secure victories in the men's and women's divisions, respectively.
Mwangi needed all of 35 minutes and 25 seconds to seize first place, while Kibii tore through the finish line in 40 minutes and four seconds.

As an event that continues to welcome any and all comers while still managing to sprinkle in a very competitive side, the Bay to Breakers tradition continues to hold strong.
Sunday was no exception, with a collection of diverse people from around the globe gathering to celebrate in a creative manner.
If anything, the event will continue to grow thanks to the social-media wildfire it creates each year. For now, the march to dream up creative costumes for next year's edition begins.
