Bangladesh vs. Pakistan, 2nd Test, Day 3: Highlights, Scorecard, Report
Pakistan took an iron grip on the second Test with Bangladesh after overwhelming their opponents for a third successive day.
Having piled up 557 for eight in their first innings, Pakistan had free rein to set attacking fields, and they swept aside Bangladesh.
A quick-fire second innings with the bat from Pakistan set Bangladesh an unlikely 550 for victory, and they were reduced to 63 for one at stumps.
Resuming their first innings in 107 for five, Bangladesh's lower order found life tough, and Soumya Sarkar, Shuvagata Hom and Taijul Islam fell early in the session.
With Shahadat Hossain unable to bat, Mohammad Shahid joined Shakib Al Hasan at the wicket, and the latter went on the counter-attack.
The pair put on a 63-run partnership, of which Shahid contributed just a single. But with Shakib, who had two lives after being dropped and bowled off a no-ball, in sight of a century, Shahid became Yasir Shah's third wicket of the match as Bangladesh were rolled out for 203.

Pakistan elected not to enforce the follow-on, with skipper Misbah-ul-Haq keen to build on their 354-run lead.
Bangladesh enjoyed some early success, with Mohammad Shahid removing Mohammad Hafeez and Sami Aslam—the latter to a sharp catch from Mahmudullah.
Azhar Ali looked good in reaching 25 before becoming the maiden Test wicket for Soumya Sarkar.
The departure of Azhar brought Younis Khan out to join Misbah at the crease, and they added 58 for the fourth wicket.
Younis looked to be in a confident mood, and it proved to be his undoing when he misjudged a flighted ball from Taijul Islam and offered the bowler a return catch. But before that, he went past the great Sir Vivian Richards' run tally of 8,540.

Following the departure of Younis, Misbah went on the attack and blasted his way to 82—which signalled a declaration was in his mind.
And that was how it played out, as Misbah called his side in immediately after being dismissed by Mahmudullah—setting Bangladesh a victory target of 550.

Pakistan's declaration left Bangladesh with a testy 14-over spell to bat, and they lost Imrul Kayes to a wicked, spinning delivery from Yasir Shah.
