Trent Dilfer Is a Bitter Old Tool
I was watching ESPN the other night when they brought in Dilfer for his analysis of the Brown's QB situation. What I hear come from him reminds me of someone who lost the QB job a few years ago and still cannot get over it.... Oh wait, that was Dilfer a few years ago.
My jaw pretty much dropped to the ground when I was listening to his analysis of the Browns giving Quinn all the opportunities to grab the starting role, but DA thus far in training camp & preseason has out performed Quinn. Really? was there a fourth game none of us saw? I sawn DA have a solid showing against the Lions, but I never saw anything from him that would indicate that he out performed Quinn. So why would he make comments like that?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Everytime I listen to Dilfer speak of the Browns, he always throws in a little comment on "You know, I use to play there, so I know." When he is asked about his opinion on who should be the QB he always declares the "More seasoned" vet should get the start. You know, kind of like how he should have gotten the nod to stay as the started instead of Frye. Not sure if everyone remembers how upset Dilfer was when he got benched in favor of the local boy Frye.... Ah, now I see another pattern here.
Dilfer seems to resent the fact that local products are more popular than the seasoned vet. In both cases, he seems to overlook the fact that for every great/amazing play these vets (DA & Dilfer) make, they turn around and make bone head/drive killing mistakes like throwing an INT in the red zone over and over. He seems to think that experience is a better value than production.
Since Dilfer has become an analysis for ESPN, anytime the subject pops up about the Browns, he ALWAYS makes sure he talks about how "The fans run the team" or "The owner favors a guy" which is funny because he never talks about how DA had plenty of opportunities to be the guy in Cleveland and kept folding under the pressure. I guess that would require him to admit that sometimes the season vet isn't the best choice for a team.
So Trent, Keep up with that psycho babel you call analysis and remind yourself why you were a journeyman and not a core player. Your ego seems to ignore fact most of the time. You just come across as a bitter old douche bag who can't seem to let go of the fact that you aren't pro bowler or a franchise QB. Just some guy how was decent some of the time.
