More than a few folks were happy to see Earnhardt get the win, including his teammate Jimmie Johnson, per Marty Smith of ESPN:
Earnhardt made his move later in the race, including this impressive maneuver with 48 laps remaining, per Fox Sports: NASCAR:
Down the stretch, however, it was unclear if Earnhardt's car was going to cooperate, per Smith:
"Junior concerned about the motor. VERY hot. Trash on grill.

Only Bayne and Larson were unable to return to the race when it resumed, however.
The Sprint Cup will head to Kansas Speedway for the SpongeBob Squarepants 400 next weekend, with more drivers trying to earn their way into the Chase or inch a bit closer.
But Sunday belonged to Earnhardt.
