4 Real Madrid Transfer Rumours Fans Wish Would Come True

Rik SharmaMay 3, 2015

Real Madrid may or may not be facing a transfer ban, but even if a FIFA sanction is applied, it is likely the club would appeal and still be able to make signings in the summer window.

There are various parts of the squad that need improving, as is natural at the end of a season.

Here we look at four players that Los Blancos fans would love to sign, taking into account both their excitement factor and how useful they would be in the side.

David Alaba

Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba, 22, is one of the best young players in the world.

According to Marca, he wants to leave for Real Madrid. The Spanish newspaper wrote:

"

David Alaba is seriously considering the possibility of moving clubs at the end of the season. Due to circumstances which he does not yet wish to make public, the Austrian appears determined to seek out new horizons and the preferred destination for the player and his father/agent is Real Madrid.

"

The newspaper also claimed that he has had talks with Madrid over a possible move.

Alaba is an extremely versatile player who is proficient in both attack and defence, which is just as you'd expect from a key man in Pep Guardiola's Bayern side.

With Fabio Coentrao not chosen much by Carlo Ancelotti, you'd expect him to leave in the summer. Alaba would be the perfect replacement.

Jose Luis Gaya

If the pearl of Pep Guardiola's Bayern team cannot be lured away, then there's also Jose Luis Gaya, another fine young player.

Aged just 19, the defender has been making waves for Valencia this season and Real Madrid are interested in signing him.

However, per Goal.com, Gaya is close to renewing his contract at Valencia, which would be a blow for Madrid. They wrote:

"

Jose Gaya has revealed he is ready to snub interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea to sign a new deal with Valencia.

The left-back Gaya is one of La Liga's hottest properties and has also been linked a move to Manchester City following the 19-year-old's breakthrough season at the Mestalla.

However, the Spain U-21 international appears set to reject offers from elsewhere and remain under the guidance of Valencia boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

"

But it could be a valuable move if Madrid can convince him to forget his new deal and sign for them instead.

Marcelo is prone to the occasional error, as he showed against Sevilla on Saturday, and he would benefit from some proper competition.

Gaya, on the other hand, could learn from the Brazilian and would also be happier to be rotated than Alaba would.

Paul Pogba

Signing Paul Pogba would be superb for Real Madrid fans for a variety of reasons.

This is primarily because he is an excellent player. The French central midfielder has progressed at Juventus and is ready to take the world stage by storm.

He offers a lot of power and finesse in midfield. He provides dynamism, but also a touch of class.

Madrid have missed that when Luka Modric has been out injured, and if Pogba signed he would almost certainly be first choice.

There's also the added benefit of Madrid whisking Barcelona's primary transfer target away while the Catalans have a transfer ban.

Per Sport, Barcelona are going full steam ahead to sign the Juventus star, so putting one in their eye would obviously be enjoyable for Madrid fans.

Although he is injured for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final clash in Turin, Juventus hope to deploy Pogba against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Then the fans can get a firsthand glimpse of what the midfield machine is like.

David De Gea

David De Gea would be the best signing that Real Madrid could make to keep the future of the club in safe hands.

The Manchester United goalkeeper has enjoyed an exceptional season at Old Trafford, but the time seems right for him to come back home to Madrid.

Iker Casillas has not had a terrible term, but few would argue that he should be kept as the first choice next season if De Gea can be signed.

Casillas is a Madrid legend, but De Gea, at 24, could be Real Madrid's keeper for the next decade.

Per Ian Ladyman, speaking on Sky Sports' Sunday Supplement, United are frustrated that De Gea has given the club no indication of whether he wants to stay or go. Ladyman said:

"

With De Gea, they obviously want to keep him; they are offering him a lot of money. They also understand why he might want to leave; they are not stupid at Manchester United.

What is frustrating United at the moment is that De Gea has given them absolutely no indication about what he might want to do.

They haven’t got a clue because he clearly hasn’t made his mind up. There comes a time, though, when there has to be a date when they say ‘David we need this decision now’.

"

It sounds like De Gea's mind is yet to be made, and it would be in Madrid's interest to swing on by and take him back to the Spanish capital.
