Parise Becomes Wild's All-Time Leader in Playoff Points
Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise took sole possession of first place on his franchise's all-time playoff points leaderboard during Friday's 4-3 Game 1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks, contributing a goal and an assist to give him 24 playoff points in a Wild uniform, per Sportsnet Stats.
The previous record holder was current Los Angeles Kings forward Marion Gaborik, who tallied 22 points for Minnesota over 29 games in the 2002-03, 2006-07 and 2007-08 playoffs, per the team's PR Twitter account.
The 30-year-old Parise, a Minnesota native, needed just 25 playoff appearances in a Wild uniform to break Gaborik's mark.

After falling behind 3-0 by the end of the first period Friday night, the Wild scored three goals in a span of eight minutes, 10 seconds during the second period to pull the game even at 3-3.
Parise scored the second of those goals on a power play and then provided an assist on forward Mikael Granlund's goal just a few minutes later.
The furious rally wasn't quite enough, as Blackhawks rookie Tuevo Teravainen scored in the final minute of the second period to give Chicago a lead that would hold up.
If the first game is any indication, this ongoing series could be even more exciting than last year's memorable series between the same two teams.
The Wild seemingly have enough talent to make a run at the first Stanley Cup Trophy in the franchise's 14-season history, but the Blackhawks are always a tough out in the playoffs.
