Kentucky Derby Race 2015: Weather Forecast, Horse Odds and Jockey Info
A Kentucky Derby winner has to overcome a whole range of obstacles, and the same will be true again of whichever horse triumphs in the 141st Run for the Roses on Saturday.
However, it looks as though the weather will not be an added hindrance for the 19 horses set to run at Churchill Downs.
As indicated by Daily Racing Form, it is set to be a pleasantly warm, if slightly cloudy, day, with rain unlikely:
Indeed, according to Weather.com, the chance of rain is just 10 percent, with a high temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit expected.
This will come as good news to the leading jockeys. Read on for a closer look at those jockeys set to be competing at the business end of Saturday's race, as well as all the latest odds.

Victor Espinoza
Twice a winner in the Kentucky Derby, Victor Espinoza triumphed in 2002 with War Emblem, and again last year aboard California Chrome.
The 42-year-old is looking to join an elite group of riders on Saturday who have won the Derby in consecutive years, per ESPN's Lane Gold:
He is most certainly in with a chance, as he rides long-term favourite American Pharoah, who most recently blitzed the field at the Arkansas Derby under the guidance of Espinoza.
As reported by Doug Salvatore of TwinSpires, Espinoza has an exemplary record that proves his consistent excellence over the years:
A better combination of horse and jockey you could not wish to have. Throw in the fact that Pharoah is trained by three-time Derby winner Bob Baffert, and it seems even more likely that Espinoza could triumph again on Saturday.
Martin Garcia

Martin Garcia has yet to taste victory in the Kentucky Derby, but the 30-year-old has every chance on Saturday as he rides second-favourite Dortmund.
Also trained by Baffert, Dortmund has won all six of his career races, with Garcia aboard on each occasion. The colt was mightily impressive in winning the Santa Anita Derby last month, romping home with ease despite losing a shoe.
Here is that impressive Garcia ride in full:
The Mexican-born Garcia may never have won in the Derby, but he has form at Churchill Downs having ridden Plum Pretty to victory in the 2011 Kentucky Oaks.
Dortmund is a strong, imposing presence and Garcia will surely give him a great ride on Saturday, with the pair likely to push Espinoza and American Pharoah all the way.
John Velazquez

John Velazquez is undoubtedly one of the best jockeys around and will be fancied by many to steer his mount, Carpe Diem, to victory on Saturday.
The 43-year-old triumphed in the Derby in 2011, riding Animal Kingdom to victory. He has form in other Triple Crown races also, having won the Belmont Stakes on two occasions, most recently in 2012.
That kind of big-race experience will be key in Saturday's race. Velazquez knows what it takes to win the Derby and will surely be tactically sound aboard Carpe Diem.
The 2015 Kentucky Derby has a very strong field, but Velazquez has the talent and the know-how to beat them all and secure a second win in the Roses.
