Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: NBA DraftKings Ideal Lineup Picks for April 27
They say defense wins championships. None of the defensive-orientated teams playing Monday night in the NBA playoffs will win the title this year, but they can help you win some contests at DraftKings. Fantasy points will be at a premium, but the good news is the prices on the board aren't that overwhelming as we present our ideal daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for April 27.
PG Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls ($7,600)
We were tempted to go in on one of the fill-ins for the Memphis Grizzlies' Mike Conley, but there are just so few daily fantasy monsters on the board to buy. Rose is potentially one of them, even if the Milwaukee Bucks were No. 1 at DraftKings against point guards this season. Rose has averaged over 42 DraftKings points in this series, and this should be a headlining performance to close out the series at home.
- Nick Calathes, Memphis Grizzlies ($2,600)
- Beno Udrih, Memphis Grizzlies ($3,000)
- Damian Lillard Portland Trail Blazers ($7,800)
SG Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls ($8,300)
Rose's return to prominence not only failed to cut into Butler's production, it has ignited it. This is arguably the best backcourt in the NBA, thriving in the postseason against the overmatched Bucks, who were just 23rd at DraftKings against shooting guards this season.
Butler has averaged over 28 real points and 45 DraftKings points. That is elite production at a second-tier price and makes him the No. 1 must-have option on the board.
- Joe Johnson, Brooklyn Nets ($7,200)
- Bojan Bogdanovic, Brooklyn Nets ($4,800)
- Courtney Lee, Memphis Grizzlies ($4,400)
SF DeMarre Carroll, Atlanta Hawks ($6,200)
We like the "Junkyard Dog" to do more of the heavy lifting for the Hawks again in Game 4. After a dud of a Game 2, Carroll led the Hawks with 22 points last time out, and he has proved to be a factor rebounding in this series. His max effort will carry the Hawks and your daily fantasy lineup.
- Nicolas Batum, Portland Trail Blazers ($6,600)
- Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks ($6,300)
PF LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland Trail Blazers ($9,500)
Affording the premium here shouldn't be much of an issue when you consider the dearth of stars on the board Monday night. Aldridge's Blazers have to secure a victory at home or head into the offseason, where their big man will become a free agent. Even if this is the last game for Aldridge in a Blazers uniform, he will be motivated to make it a good one as he puts one last time on his max-contract status.
- Paul Millsap, Atlanta Hawks ($7,700)
- Zach Randolph, Memphis Grizzlies ($6,500)
- Thaddeus Young, Brooklyn Nets ($6,400)
C Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets ($8,000)
The Nets are riding their top seven, which is giving Lopez big minutes and chances for big-time production. The big man has been a force for most of April, and we expect him to be a double-double guy here at home, in what should be a very competitive game through the end. He should get his 20 and 12.
- Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls ($5,900)
- Marc Gasol, Memphis Grizzlies ($8,400)
