Debutant opener Mukhtar Ahmed top scored with 37, but Ahmed Shehzad (17 off 31 balls) was stymied at the top of the order.
Captain Shahid Afridi was elevated to number three in the order and made 12 from nine balls before being given out, caught behind, despite not making any contact.

Tamim Iqbal, fresh off two centuries in the limited overs series, immediately took the attack to Pakistan as he hit Hafeez for 14 from the opening four balls of Bangladesh’s reply.
However, debutant Soumya Sarkar was run out, without facing, off the fifth ball, and Tamim failed to add to his 14 as he was caught by Hafeez off Umar Gul.
