NASCAR at Richmond: Start Time, TV Schedule, Live Stream and More
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes a stop this week at Richmond International Raceway for the Toyota Owners 400. The Saturday night showcase is the first of two races at the track this season. Joey Logano is the defending champion of the venue's spring race.
Nobody has been able to touch Kevin Harvick so far in 2015. The Stewart-Haas driver has earned six top-five finishes in the first eight races. Add in a pair of victories and it's easy to see how he's already built up a 30-point lead in the standings.
The Sprint Cup leader has also enjoyed success at Richmond with three career wins. Can he keep his hot streak alive or will another driver steal the spotlight? Let's check out all of the key details where race fans can discover the answer. That's followed by a preview of the action.

An emotional night lies ahead as Steve Byrnes is still likely on the hearts and in the minds of many. The longtime racing broadcaster, who was honored for his fight against cancer last week at Bristol, passed away on Tuesday.
Byrnes was a polished professional who spent around three decades in racing. As you can imagine, he made a lot of connections over that time, both with the teams and the fans. Saturday will be a chance to remember his impact.
The race itself should be highly competitive.
Along with his early dominance this season, Harvick is also the Series' reigning champion. That success comes with some extra perks, of course. One of those happened during the week as the No. 4 team was able to visit President Barack Obama at the White House.
Kenny Bruce of NASCAR.com passed along comments from the 39-year-old veteran about the experience.
"It's just different when you’re celebrating your own championship and not somebody else's," Harvick said. "It's a huge honor to be here, and for the guys on the team it's really an honor to see how excited they are, the things that are happening, to see them take it all in is pretty neat."
He'll look to continue those positive vibes with a win this weekend.
Another driver who's enjoyed success at Richmond is Jeff Gordon. The retiring fan favorite has finished in the top 10 a total of 28 times in 44 appearances at the track.
Jeff Wackerlin of the Motor Racing Network provided some more favorable statistics about his performance at the raceway: "Finished second in both races last season and led 173 laps in this event. Gordon has finished eighth or better in four of the last five races, including three runner-up finishes. Gordon, a six-time pole and two-time Richmond race winner, participated in the NASCAR open test at the track on April 8."
Getting his first win of the campaign at Richmond could be the spark he needs to make a charge toward the top.
Then there's his Hendrick teammate Jimmie Johnson. The six-time Sprint Cup champion is tied with Harvick with two victories in the first eight races. Richmond has been a hit-or-miss track for him with three wins but just two other top-fives in 26 starts.
Kelly Crandall of Popular Speed notes he'll be using the same chassis that had moderate success at the track last fall:
Outside of that headline trio, Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch and defending champion Logano are some other drivers with a strong chance to contend.
All told, Harvick is simply making it really hard to pick against him right now. The team is making all the right calls, and he's making the necessary moves to get himself into the mix during the final laps just about every week.
Barring some bad breaks, which are destined to happen at some point this season, he's the driver to beat this week. Another Richmond victory is firmly within his grasp.
Prediction: Kevin Harvick
