The former WWE champ (and now UFC fighter) has suffered more than his share of trolls since deciding to try his hand at MMA. A recent encounter saw a fan fling negativity his way, only to have Punk respond like he was a member of The New Day:
Punk was also a hot topic on Twitter thanks to Itami. In a conversation with The Young Bucks, Punk said he would never steal someone else's finisher.
That statement sure perked up Itami's ears. After all, Punk took the GTS from the Japanese star.
Itami responded perfectly:
Paige fully admits that she adopted her PTO maneuver from Bull Nakano. Most of the time, she applies that hold in the center of the ring. Thanks to some superimposing and a crafty Internet user, Paige took her painful hold elsewhere:
A PTO out in the middle of the water has to hurt but probably still not as much as getting tossed aside in front of a live audience.
That's something that Aksana, AJ Lee and Vickie Guerrero know all about. WWE compiled 10 of the most memorable onscreen breakups in its newest countdown video:
Tajiri's cameos are always welcome. The same is true for celebrations of either Steve Austin's stunner or Orton's RKO. Both moves have created a stockpile of memories.
WWE crammed quite a bit of them into a single video that offers looks at everyone from Johnny Ace to John Cena hitting some variation of either a cutter or a stunner:
At least for one night, Seth Rollins won't have to worry about the RKO. He managed to have the move banned for his title match with Orton at Extreme Rules.
That and the fact that J&J Security will be in his corner ups his chances of retaining the world title. WWE's Instagram showed a great image of that threesome as Rollins made his way down the entrance ramp during a house show:
Rollins has been flourishing as a slimy, cowardly heel. Meanwhile, Sheamus is killing it in his new role as an unfeeling destroyer.
An Instagram photo of him lurking backstage captures his new persona quite well:
This is the type of intimidating powerhouse one would have to face to make it in WWE. Even as scary as that thought is, several fans still sent in audition videos to be a part of the Tough Enough reality show. Many of those are hard to watch thanks to an overload of awkwardness.
Other would-be cast members put together some impressive clips. Folks such as DeQwan Young and Mike Hayes will pique WWE's interest. Keith Apicary (real name: Nathan Barnatt) will not.
Still, watching the comedian make a fool of himself with help from Dolph Ziggler and Rikishi is really fun:
He took more chair shots there than we're likely to see at Extreme Rules. That's worth something. His best shot at breaking into WWE, though, would be as this generation's Harvey Wippleman.
