Arians: Ellington's Foot is '95 Percent Healed'

ESPN.com's Josh Weinfuss relayed Arians' optimistic comments regarding Ellington's injury outlook:
Ellington's left foot has been giving him problems since last season. Things came to a head as early as September 2014, when he aggravated the injury in practice. Despite nagging pain, Ellington managed to play 12 of 16 regular-season games.
The problem was Ellington wasn't nearly as productive as he was as a rookie, seeing his yards per carry dip from 5.5 to 3.3. If Ellington can get fully healthy prior to the 2015 campaign, perhaps he can emerge as the Cardinals' unquestioned feature back.
AZCentral.com's Kent Somers has said that the Cardinals have expressed interest in trading for Minnesota superstar Adrian Peterson, though, per Pro Football Talk:
Arizona could opt to use its 2015 first-round draft pick on one of the elite running back prospects in Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon if they're available.
Due to his injury history and diminutive frame, Ellington is far from guaranteed to remain atop the depth chart in the desert. There's no denying he has the talent to be productive, and he's a capable pass-catcher as well.
The Cardinals seem intent to explore all options in an effort to upgrade the position. What will help any Arizona ball-carrier's cause is better play up front. Football Outsiders ranked Arizona 24th in the NFL in run blocking last season.
