Amoyal wrote:
"After Juve closed the deal for Dybala they are still working on bringing back Cavani to Serie A, this evening intermediaries from the bianconeri met with Cavani's entourage in Paris: they continue to work on reaching an agreement on his wages. They made some more progress both on the annual salary as well as the length of the contract. Juve to Sign Cavani if Pogba Leaves?
Friday, April 17
Il Quotidiano Sportivo (h/t Football Italia) previously reported news of an unnamed Juventus director sending a text message which suggests the Uruguayan striker is on his way: "We've signed Cavani, it's all done, it'll only fall through if we don't sell Pogba," the message allegedly reads.
Interestingly, La Stampa (h/t Football Italia) reports the former Napoli man will ink a five-year contract.

Amoyal reported "should (Carlos) Tevez be the one to decide to leave at the end of this season then Juve's odds of going for Cavani would increase, should Tevez stay until the end of his contract they would be more focused on (Paulo) Dybala."
He also added that "while Juventus hasn't spoken to PSG they have spoken to the player to discuss his wages."
Premier League sides Manchester United and Arsenal were previously linked with Cavani's signature, and the Italian coverage acts as a deterrent to both clubs, but word from the player himself is that he's willing to remain at the Parc des Princes, per Sky Italia (via talkSPORT): "My future? People speak too much about me. I will stay here, respect my contract, and I am only thinking about playing well for PSG."
Adam Crafton of the Daily Mail doesn't believe United should opt for Cavani:
"Cavani would be odd buy for #mufc. On the big occasions, he freezes in front of goal like a pianist whose timing has deserted him.

Cavani's current contract expires in 2018, per Transfermarkt.com. Things haven't progressed particularly well for him in France, where he's suffered under the shadow of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Laurent Blanc's team. Ibrahimovic is the central striker in the Frenchman's 4-3-3 formation, no questions asked, meaning Cavani is used to fill in the gaps.
Football Italia's report indicates Pogba's sale must be achieved before Cavani can be secured by Juventus. Le 10 Sport (h/t the Daily Star, via ESPNFC.com) have linked PSG with the midfield behemoth before, but there's no indication he's opted to head to the French capital. B/R UK's Jonathan Johnson recently discussed the potential cash needed to land Pogba:
Juventus could easily snag Cavani with this kind of windfall, adding to an already formidable forward line of Tevez and Alvaro Morata.
Let's just hope Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri doesn't opt to employ a 4-3-3 if this goes ahead.
