Emmanuel Adebayor Has Reportedly Earned £3.4M Since His Last Tottenham Start
It is fair to say Emmanuel Adebayor is not providing value for money at the moment.
The Tottenham striker hasn't started a match since last November and has made only five appearances off the bench since then.
However, he is still raking in the cash, according to Neil Ashton of the Daily Mail—a lot of cash.

In a feature about the Togo striker, Ashton notes:
"Since Adebayor’s last start in the Barclays Premier League for Tottenham, when he was dragged off the pitch after 58 minutes at Aston Villa on November 2, he has pocketed £3.4million in wages.
It was that day at Villa Park when Harry Kane came on as a substitute, scoring his first Premier League goal for Spurs and diving, Jurgen Klinsmann-style, in front of the travelling fans after he scored the winner.
By then Adebayor had taken his seat on the bench after one of the most listless, lifeless displays of his entire career.
That day he had just 32 touches of the ball and none of them were good.
"
Adebayor is currently on a reported wage of £170,000 per week with a chunky £70,000 of that amount still being paid by former club Manchester City.
City subsidized his move to Tottenham to at least partially get him off the wage bill, first by sending him on loan to White Hart Lane in 2011 and then by making the move permanent in 2012.
City are finally clear of Adebayor's wages this summer, but Tottenham are not, with the Mail's report noting that "getting him off the wage bill this summer will be a problem, with Spurs in hock to him for one final year on £100,000 a week until his contract expires on June 30, 2016."
The report also says Adebayor will be difficult to get rid of because "on the bad days at Spurs, when he is in a particularly confrontational mood, he tells people that he is only prepared to leave Tottenham if they can fix a move to Real Madrid or Chelsea."
Adebayor enjoyed a renaissance of sorts last season when he was brought in out of the cold by Tim Sherwood and scored 14 goals.
However, he has been barely used by Mauricio Pochettino this campaign and has netted just two times this season.
