Rodgers Provides Sterling and Ibe with Warning

Sterling/Ibe Snapped Using Shisha Pipe

The Daily Mail reported the original story:
Shisha is a form of smoking fruit-flavoured tobacco made popular in the Middle East, with the Daily Mail's Chris Cutmore alleging that an hour-long shisha session can have the same effect as smoking between 100-200 cigarettes.
The activity wouldn't appear to be affecting Sterling's standards just yet, with the star having scored in the recent 2-0 win over Newcastle United, but Cutmore goes on to quote the British Heart Foundation website as stating: "Like cigarettes [shisha] contains nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide and heavy metals, such as arsenic and lead."

Sterling's stalled contract negotiations are the talk of the town on Merseyside at present, but his off-pitch antics aren't doing anything to boost his reputation among fans or the rest of the onlooking public.
This latest incident comes in the same week the 20-year-old was also shown allegedly inhaling nitrous oxide, or "laughing gas," per The Sun (via BBC Sport), leading Rodgers to address his player's antics:
"I don't think it is something you should be doing, it's as simple as that. We want players here who are super-professional and focused on their football - I know he is. It's not just on the field, it's off the field as well but I will speak with him on it and we'll move on. Young players make mistakes. As long as they learn from them, that is what is important.
"
The BBC report makes reference to Sterling having recently rejected a £100,000-a-week contract to remain at Liverpool, perhaps suggesting the youngster is actively seeking a departure.
These latest images won't do much to enamour Sterling any further among the Anfield faithful, with serious questions now being raised as to how serious the starlet is about cutting a new deal with his current employers.
