Brighton Marathon 2015: Route, Course Map, Times, Event Details
The Brighton Marathon is relatively young by annual marathon standards with the first running coming in 2010. It's quickly become one of the spotlight races on the English marathon calendar thanks to the large crowds and picturesque setting.
As the crowds have grown, the race has become more competitive. In five years, the course record has changed five times on the men's side and four times on the women's side. The increasingly strong fields have also helped the event grow rapidly.
So let's check out all of the important information for the 2015 edition of the Brighton Marathon. It's followed by a preview of the budding event.

Event Preview
Sunday's marathon is the marquee showcase of a weekend filled with events. Also included are Mini Mile Races, the BM 10K and the Brighton Marathon Exhibition. The latter is a health and fitness expo to help runners prepare for action.
Fit Brands provided a glimpse at some of the items that will be on display:
As mentioned, the marathon has grown at a terrific rate in a short period. It's really turned the race into a major event for the area with thousands of visitors coming to either take part in one of the races or simply be a spectator and enjoy everything the weekend has to offer.
Gareth Davies of The Argus passed along comments from a marathon spokesman, who explained the importance of the event in an appeal for volunteers.
"The weekend is renowned for its fantastic atmosphere and over 150,000 spectators who come out to show their support for the runners in the BM 10k and marathon on the Sunday," the spokesman said.
The course records in the event are currently held by William Chebor and Eunice Kales, both from Kenya. Chebor set the men's mark of two hours, nine minutes and 25 seconds last year. Kales posted her record time of two hours, 28 minutes and 50 seconds in 2013.
Interestingly, Chebor was able to win the 2014 race and set the new standard despite stopping before the halfway mark to tie his shoes.
After the racing ends, the organizers hold a Beach Village celebration. Entertainment, food and beverages are provided as runners meet back up with their group.
It caps a weekend of fun in Brighton. Although the marathon is the main event, it's far from the only thing to keep that large number of spectators occupied starting on Friday.
