Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Top Names Linked to Gunners
Arsene Wenger could finally land one of his long-term targets, as rumours have emerged surrounding the future of Paris Saint-Germain's Yohan Cabaye.
The Telegraph report the former Newcastle midfielder may find his way back to the Premier League after failing to nail down a starting place in Laurent Blanc's team.
The 29-year-old former Geordies skipper has made just nine starts for PSG in Ligue 1 this term, per WhoScored.com, often finding himself placed on the substitute bench for games.

Wenger initially moved for the player 18 months earlier, when a £10 million bid was turned down by Newcastle before he left for the French champions, per The Telegraph.

If the Arsenal boss could land the France international for a similar fee, he would be pleased in the knowledge that he's obtained a player with strong English league experience for a very reasonable price.
Cabaye was a runaway success in the north-east, proving to be one of the EPL's most clever operators in midfield.
His move to PSG was not a shock when the oil giant came calling for him, but he was always going to struggle to start matches with their superstar squad in place.

At Arsenal, Cabaye would suit Wenger's pass-and-move style, and he would bring different qualities to the Gunners' mostly attacking contingent.
The player is happy in the final third of the pitch, but his defensive ability must not be overlooked. And with Jack Wilshere finding himself on the treatment table for long periods each season, Cabaye would give Wenger the depth he needs to mount a stronger EPL title challenge.
Mathieu Flamini is now the wrong side of 30 and is a much less capable reserve than he once was, so Cabaye's addition would make perfect sense.
Paolo Dybala Admits Palermo Days Might Be Numbered

Gunners striking target Paolo Dybala has admitted his days at Serie A club Palermo could be coming to an end, as the race to obtain the highly rated Argentinian hots up.
Matt Morlidge of the MailOnline quoted the attacker speaking to Dia Dia about his immediate future and confirmed he recently travelled to the Camp Nou to watch Barcelona:
"I try not to think too much about the transfer market. I am completely focused on the last 10 games, because they could be my last here. I went to Camp Nou merely as a spectator. There were a lot of great players out on the pitch, it was a great game and it helped me because I learned a lot from watching it.
"
Dybala's reputation has exploded in 2015, with his similarity in style to Sergio Aguero. The 21-year-old has impressed against the tough defences of Italian football, finding the net on a regular basis.
The striker has 13 goals and seven assists from his 28 Serie A appearances this season, per WhoScored.com, and he seems ready to make the jump up the ladder to the Premier League or La Liga.
But despite Arsenal's reported interest, Gunners shareholder Alisher Usmanov has denied rumours he is trying to directly broker a deal for the talented player.
Ed Malyon of the Mirror quotes a statement from the billionaire's company refuting Usmanov is attempting to land Dybala ahead of Barca: "Contrary to inaccurate media reports, Red & White would like to clarify that it has not made any formal or informal contact with either Paulo Dybala, his agent or Palermo football club."

Malyon reports Dybala's agent has hinted his client has offers in the pipeline from both England and Italy. And Palermo supremo Maurizio Zamparini went one step further to claim on Italian radio Wenger has made a bid and the player has a preference for a move to the Gunners, per Ed Malyon in a separate article for the Mirror:
"Juventus and Arsenal have already made offers for the boy. Pierpaolo Triulzi, his agent, will be in Italy on Friday. I’m asking for more than €40 million. He would prefer to stay in Italy, he still wants to play in Serie A. Of the English teams, Arsenal is the first choice, because of the way Arsene Wenger’s team plays.
"
Dybala and Cabaye would be exciting additions to the Arsenal squad, bringing both youthful exuberance and necessary experience to the team.
Dybala looks likely to develop into one of the planet's most exciting attackers, and he could be the predatory player Wenger has wanted for many years.
The Argentinian could walk in the footsteps of Ian Wright and Thierry Henry and lead the Gunners back to the Premier League title.
