Brandon Peters to Michigan: Wolverines Land 4-Star QB Prospect
Although the Michigan Wolverines have no shortage of quarterbacks on the roster, it's never a bad idea to add one more.
And that's exactly what Jim Harbaugh did Friday night, securing the commitment of Brandon Peters. The 4-star quarterback announced on Twitter that he's heading to Ann Arbor:

ESPN's Tom VanHaaren showed Peters with Harbaugh after his commitment:
According to 247Sports' composite rankings, Peters is the No. 9 pro-style quarterback and No. 272 player overall in the 2016 recruiting class. On April 8, Peters' mother confirmed he will enroll in January, per Nick Baumgardner of MLive.com.
Bleacher Report's Tyler Donohue tweeted in March that he felt Michigan had a great chance to land Peters at some point:
"Proud to say that I am officially committed to Michigan university! #Fab25 #GoBlue〽️〽️
— Brandon Peters (@Bpeters2118) April 4, 2015"
As Scout's Josh Newkirk noted, this is the first official recruit of the Harbaugh era:
Peters will be added to what is a loaded position for the Wolverines. They already have Shane Morris, Alex Malzone and Wilton Speight, among others on the roster. Peters will certainly have to fight to see the field once he arrives.
With that said, it's not hard to see why Michigan so heavily pursued Peters. He's the kind of quarterback who should excel under Harbaugh's tutelage. He can read the field well and has the arm to make even the deepest of downfield throws.
You can't ask much more of a QB ready to make the step to the collegiate level.
