Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest David De Gea and Alvaro Morata Rumours
Real Madrid are willing to wait until 2016 to make a push for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, according to the latest transfer rumours emerging from Spain.
As reported by AS (via The Independent's Jack De Menezes), Los Blancos are still keen to make the Spain international their new No. 1, but if United don't agree to a transfer in the summer, they'll wait until 2016 to make their move, when the stopper becomes a free agent:
"Real Madrid are determined to land Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea to become the long-term successor to Iker Casillas, but have identified a way to land him for free should United refuse to negotiate a move this summer.
De Gea’s current contract expires in the summer of 2016, and with negotiations on hold until at least the end of the season, there remains a concern at Old Trafford that De Gea could choose to run down his contract rather than prolong it.

AS even claim Real could entertain the idea of moving for Chelsea's Petr Cech as a possible stop-gap, according to IndyFootball:
The 24-year-old's future has been a hotly debated topic all season, with the Madrid-based media in particular gladly pushing the story of his potential return to the Spanish capital.
As shared by Sport Witness, AS went all out for their latest issue:
It seemed inconceivable that the Red Devils would even entertain the sale of De Gea, who has been their top player all season, but rumours have persisted due to his unwillingness to sign a new contract.
United have struggled throughout the 2014-15 season but still look like favourites to qualify for next year's Champions League, something Eurosport's Jim White thinks will be vital in keeping the Spaniard at Old Trafford:
Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal disagrees, per the Manchester Evening News:
Clearly, we've yet to hear the last of this story, and as long as De Gea doesn't sign a new deal, the link with Real will persist. While it's hard to believe Cech would ever agree to move to the Spanish capital knowing De Gea will arrive one year later, there's no reason why Real couldn't simply wait for one more year.
Keylor Navas was one of the club's top captures in the summer of 2014, and Iker Casillas is still an excellent stopper, even if he has lost a step. Until De Gea commits to United for the long term, Real hold all the cards.
Alvaro Morata Doesn't Want Real Madrid Return

Real managed to insert a buyback clause into the deal that saw Alvaro Morata move to Juventus, but according to the striker's agent, he will decline any move back to Madrid, effectively rendering the clause moot.
As reported by Tuttusport (h/t Daily Mail's Luke Augustus), Morata's agent, Beppe Bozzo, told reporters the Spain international is happy in Turin and wants to stay with the Bianconeri:
"The situation just now is very favourable for Juve. When it comes to important players like him, we almost always have the last word, regardless of clubs or clauses.
Morata is fine at Juve, he is not thinking about anything else. It all depends on what the player wants, just as it was when he decided to leave Madrid a year ago.
Alvaro is not a hypocrite, he says what he thinks. He will not have a foot in both camps. A few days ago he said that Juve is fine and that he isn't thinking of returning to Madrid; he wants continue to grow with Juve. Even to me he has always expressed the same idea.
No club, not even one as powerful as Real, can spend so much money to sign a player who does not want to move.
"
He also emphasised his client wanted to go to Juventus in the first place, even turning down more money to play for Arsenal, as noted by FOX Soccer:
The 22-year-old left Madrid at the end of last season as a talented but raw player. Since moving to Turin, he has developed into one of the top young forwards on the planet, combining with Carlos Tevez to give the Bianconeri a powerful one-two punch up front.
Tevez's work rate in particular has rubbed off on the youngster, who tends to run up and down the pitch and defend with all his might from the opening minute until the last. The Daily Mail's Graham Hunter is a big fan of his potential (via FourFourTwo's Adam Digby):
Real have a fantastic striker of their own in Karim Benzema but little backup. Javier Hernandez's loan deal won't be extended—Jese hasn't looked the same since suffering a gruesome knee injury.
Using the buyback clause to bring Morata back would make sense, but given his success in Italy, it's highly unlikely the striker would be willing to accept a role behind Benzema in Madrid. As a result, there's no way he'll sign off on such a move, canceling out Real's buyback clause.
Real will be in the market for another striker during the summer, but as things stand, don't expect Morata to make a return to Los Blancos.
