Tampa Bay Bucs Make It Official: The QB Controversy Now in Full Swing
"We talk about the starting quarterback. This is a good problem. We're excited about that..."
Buccaneer Head Coach Raheem Morris on the "no decision."
It was perhaps expected to be a controversy down the road, you know, who's the starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The decision was due after the Jaguars game. Raheem Morris was adamant about it.
So much for being adamant.
The quarterback contest will carry over into the third preseason game when the Buccaneers host the Miami Dolphins at Raymond James Thursday night.
Perhaps, just perhaps, it won't matter who wins. Whatever the outcome, the winner will be on the hottest seat in Tampa. "If the guy has one-and-a-half bad games, we'll see the other," said former Buccaneer Ian Beckles on his WDAE radio talk show.
And let's take it a step further with Beckles—you will probably see all three this season—Byron Leftwich, Luke McCown, and rookie Josh Freeman.
Leftwich was named the starter Monday for the Dolphin game. Morris said that he and McCown will each play one-and-a-half quarters and there will be many starters seeing extended playing time in this game considered by many teams as their "dress rehearsal" for the regular season opener.
NFL teams have made it a habit of playing few, if any starters in the fourth contest.
In other news Monday, the team placed linebacker Angelo Crowell on injured reserve and signed Barrett Ruud's brother Bo, who was waived by Cleveland.
Two practices left before the Dolphin game. Short week and shorter time before the final roster cuts to 53 on Sept. 5.
But before he gets to 53, Morris needs to get to "one" in his quarterback contest.
