NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament 2015: Final Four Schedule, Live Stream Info
The selection committee did a good job seeding the women's NCAA tournament bracket, as the four No. 1 seeds all persevered through their respective regions.
As usual, Connecticut and Notre Dame steamrolled their way to the Final Four. Before they can set up a rematch of last year's championship, the Fighting Irish must combat South Carolina while Maryland awaits the Huskies.
The two powerhouses appear on a collision course to Tuesday's final in Tampa, Fla., but the other top seeds won't lay down and readily accept defeat. Here's a look at both matchups set for Sunday.

Notre Dame vs. South Carolina

Notre Dame endured an off year for its standards, entering the tournament with two losses to its ledger. No, that wasn't meant to read as sarcasm. The Fighting Irish dropped one game in each of the past two regular seasons before running into the Huskies for a Final Four loss.
Cruising through four tournament victories with a 19-point victory margin, they're the runaway favorites to slay the Gamecocks, who by contrast edged out Florida State by six and North Carolina by two points.
Nevertheless, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley isn't content serving as a helpless bridge to another Notre Dame championship bid.

"We are not just going to show up and just be happy to be there," Staley told the Associated Press' Doug Feinberg. "This particular regional final game isn't the destination game for what we set out to do this season.
She'll need a huge game from All-American Tiffany Mitchell, who scored 21 points during the team's comeback win over Florida State. Staley explained her decision, according to GamecockCentral.com's Avery Wilks, to utilize her star guard for all 40 minutes:
The Fighting Irish also lean heavily on their nucleus, using Lindsay Allen for 39 minutes and Jewell Loyd for 40 during a rare single-digit win over Baylor. The nine-point victory marked their closest scare since besting N.C. State 67-60 on March 1.
When the All-American Loyd struggled, Allen picked up the slack with 23 points. In the previous game, she generated a career-high 28 points against Stanford. Per an AP report (via ESPN.com) Loyd warned everyone not to take her teammate lightly.
"Well, she's like my twin, and really, and she's unstoppable," Loyd said. "I think people have underestimated her, and she's been awesome all year. It's been awesome to see how talented she is."
That potent one-two punch has Notre Dame eyeing its fourth championship appearance in the past five years.
Connecticut vs. Maryland

Since dropping the season's second game to Stanford in an overtime defeat, Connecticut has won 35 straight bouts, all by double digits. The Huskies outscore their opponents by 41.9 points per game—an insane margin that is somehow not a typo.
Even though Maryland hasn't lost since Dec. 2, the odds are stacked against the Terrapins this weekend. Charlie Creme of espnW.com doesn't leave much hope for an upset:
"It's probably more difficult to find reasons why the Huskies won't three-peat. Auriemma and his coaching staff preside over a team that tops the nation in field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, assists per game and blocked shots per game. The Huskies are equal parts prolific and stingy. No one scores more points and gives up fewer than this Connecticut bunch.
"
Five Huskies register more than 10 points per contest, and Kia Nurse holds the worst field-goal percentage among them at 49.4. Chief among those scorers is Breanna Stewart, who records a team-high 17.6 points and 7.6 boards per bout.
The forward has already led UConn to two national titles, and her 23 points and 16 rebounds over Dayton helped make a third likely. USA Today's Adi Joseph brought attention to a remarkable feat well within Stewart's grasp:
Maryland, who averages 79.2 points per game, must turn the evening into a track meet. UConn will dominate in a half-court game, so a frenetic pace with pinpoint shooting is necessary to pull off the monumental upset.
The Huskies only besting Dayton by 21 was noteworthy. That says all there is to know about their chances of three-peating.
