Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Duke vs. Michigan State
| Jahlil Okafor | 21 | 11 | 1 |
| Quinn Cook | 14 | 2 | 2 |
| Justise Winslow | 12 | 8 | 4 |
| Tyus Jones | 8 | 2 | 4 |
Over the past two games, Jahlil Okafor has been limited to a combined 15 points. After only being held to single digits once over the entire regular season, the freshman center has now done it two games in a row.
However, this game should give him an opportunity to bounce back. Bigger opponents such Utah's Jakob Poeltl and Gonzaga's Przemek Karnowski have held him in check, but Michigan State simply doesn't have one of those players.
Okafor should have a huge day against the Spartans.
Meanwhile, Lourawls "Tum Tum" Nairn has the defensive ability to slow down point guard Tyus Jones, but Quinn Cook can make up for it with some big shots. A battle between Branden Dawson and Justise Winslow will also be a thrill to watch on that end of the court.
| Travis Trice | 22 | 2 | 3 |
| Denzel Valentine | 16 | 5 | 6 |
| Branden Dawson | 6 | 10 | 1 |
Duke has improved tremendously on the defensive end in the NCAA tournament, starting with Winslow. The freshman does a great job of defending either the perimeter or the post and should be able to almost take Dawson out of the game.
On the other hand, one player who should excel is Travis Trice. The guard has turned it on down the stretch and is averaging 19.8 points per game in the tournament.
Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski gave high praise to the Michigan State guard:
Trice should keep this up with another strong effort for the Spartans. Meanwhile, if Denzel Valentine uses his 6'5" size to his advantage, he should give his team a big boost.
Kentucky vs. Wisconsin
| Andrew Harrison | 15 | 2 | 5 |
| Aaron Harrison | 8 | 1 | 2 |
| Devin Booker | 11 | 0 | 1 |
| Karl-Anthony Towns | 8 | 8 | 1 |
| Willie Cauley-Stein | 6 | 10 | 0 |
| Trey Lyles | 5 | 6 | 0 |
The problem with trying to predict statistics for Kentucky players is the fact any one of the nine rotational players has an opportunity to excel in a given game.
Karl-Anthony Towns was the star in the Elite Eight matchup against Notre Dame with 25 points, but the Irish struggled defending the paint all year long. He will have a much tougher time scoring against someone with size like Frank Kaminsky.
Instead, this seems like a game where the guards will shine. Josh Gasser is a quality defensive player for Wisconsin, but Kentucky will simply have too many talented players to defend. Look for Andrew Harrison to be much more aggressive to get into the paint and contribute from there.
Devin Booker could also be in line for some open threes off the bench.
| Frank Kaminsky | 18 | 7 | 3 |
| Sam Dekker | 15 | 5 | 2 |
| Nigel Hayes | 12 | 9 | 1 |
Wisconsin's ability to score will be a big story in this game, but we have seen all year long that Kaminsky will be productive no matter what. He has reached double-digit points in all but one game this year and is persistent even when he struggles.
Although he might not match his 29 points from the Elite Eight, he should still have a solid effort.
Meanwhile, his teammate is the one who has really turned heads this year, according to ESPN's John Gasaway:
Sam Dekker could face a tough matchup in Willie Cauley-Stein, but his hot streak should allow him to at least put together a solid scoring night.
The key will be Nigel Hayes, who has had a great season but has been quiet recently. If he can put together a strong outing, Wisconsin might pull off the upset.
