Chelsea Transfer News: Koke Setback, Latest on Kevin De Bruyne Rumours
Chelsea's chances of launching a swap deal for Atletico Madrid's Koke have stumbled after Filipe Luis revealed he has no intentions of leaving the club, while Kevin De Bruyne is set to spurn the advances of Europe's elite this summer.
Luis has struggled to fit into Jose Mourinho's first-team plans at Chelsea, but the Brazil international is quoted by Pablo Polo of Spanish newspaper Marca as saying he's ignoring all talk of a Stamford Bridge exit:
"I'm just focused on Chelsea, on working hard and giving my best in order to end the season with another important and beautiful trophy. Of course, everything can change in football, but I'm happy and have a three-year contract at Chelsea that I'd like to see out.
I've had some of the best years of my career at Atletico and remember the supporters, my teammates and the coaching staff fondly.

Cesar Azpilicueta has continued as Mourinho's preferred option at left-back following the arrival of Luis from the Vicente Calderon last summer, with the latter featuring mainly in cup competition.

The London Evening Standard's Simon Johnson revealed earlier this month that Koke was a top priority for Mourinho and that out-of-favour Luis could move in the opposite direction to sweeten the deal.
Los Rojiblancos boss Diego Simeone this week penned an extension to remain Atletico Madrid manager until 2020, but David Cartlidge of beIN Sports tells just how highly the club value their star midfielder:
Luis' part-exchange could have been a useful tool in Chelsea's pursuit of Koke given the low-level priority he currently holds among the Blues' ranks, but it may not be outside the club's means to purchase their target in a cash deal.
Several months ago, Luis responded to any lurking claims that he could be unhappy in west London with a clear statement of loyalty to his current employers, via his official Instagram account:
Mourinho's current midfield tandem of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic has succeeded in making Chelsea front-runners for this season's Premier League crown.
The club's Champions League exit to Paris Saint-Germain may have ignited a new desire for investment at Stamford Bridge, but Luis seemingly won't be seeking a Madrid return in order to facilitate Koke's switch.
De Bruyne 'Resisting Allure' of Top Clubs

Wolfsburg gem De Bruyne will ignore the interest of the continental big guns and remain in his current setting, according to team-mate Marcel Schafer, who says he's learned from his time at Chelsea.
De Bruyne left Stamford Bridge last January after struggling to crack the club's senior side; Schafer says that experience will convince the Belgian to value his importance at the Volkswagen Arena, per Tom Farmery of the London Evening Standard:
"I think that our chances [of keeping De Bruyne] are really good.
He has already experienced not getting so much time on the field at Chelsea, which is top club in Europe.
And that is why I think the best thing for him would be to stay for minimum one more year at Wolfsburg.
Next year he could play Champions League here and win titles with us.
If you want to win titles you need extraordinary players. And you really have to say that Kevin De Bruyne is at the moment the best player in the Bundesliga not only because of his stats.
You can see that in every single game. And we're really, really happy to have him and to keep him till the next season or maybe a little bit longer.
"
Even since his days as a youngster with Genk, De Bruyne has been heralded as a magnificent talent, but the long list of stars in west London made it difficult for him to come upon any prominence with Chelsea.
Coming closer to realising his potential and finding a new sense of involvement under Dieter Hecking, he now sits among Europe's most prolific playmakers, as shown by Barcastuff using Opta statistics:
"Most goals+ assists this season: Messi 69 - Ronaldo 59 - De Bruyne 40 - Neymar 39 - Lacazette 35 - Benzema 34 - Kane 33 [via @barcastat]
— barcastuff (@barcastuff) March 25, 2015"
With De Bruyne leading their charge, the Wolves have risen back into the Bundesliga hierarchy and are through to the quarter-finals of this season's Europa League.
Having moved to Germany for a fee of £18 million just over 12 months ago, the Daily Mail reports Bayern Munich are now looking to sign the maestro for double that amount this summer:
It's a difficult conundrum for the 23-year-old, who won't be keen on the thought of putting his first-team minutes in jeopardy once again among a more talented cast.
Schafer won't be alone at Wolfsburg in terms of those looking to retain De Bruyne's talents, but there may come a point where the desire for major honours becomes a primary motive.
