Louis van Gaal Talks Manchester United Future in Exclusive Telegraph Interview
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has no interest in any more coaching jobs once his time at Old Trafford comes to a close. He just isn't sure when the time to retire will arrive.
Henry Winter of The Telegraph provided a deep look into the life of Van Gaal. The wide-ranging interview covered everything from his days playing street games as a kid to his current stint as manager of one of the world's biggest clubs.
Perhaps his most interesting remarks came when discussing his future. He didn't put a definitive timetable on when he plans to walk away from the sport, joking his wife wishes that would have happened five years ago.

He does have his retirement planned out, though:
"I have a paradise in Portugal. I want to quit to go there, play golf, eat fantastic food. There are very good wines in Portugal. There is the beach, the very beautiful weather. I don't want to travel. Everyone wants to touch my body in the airports; it is always peeping because I have an artificial hip. I am the only one who has been controlled every time when we fly. I don't like it. It's better to sit down in my—our—paradise.
"
Van Gaal also confirmed United will be the last stop on his football journey:
"I am also old. This is my last job. For sure. I have to pay attention to my kids, my grandchildren but also to my wife. They deserve it. Now I cannot pay that attention. I was not at the birthday of my grandson for example. I don't like it."
Clearly, missing all of those family events is starting to take its toll on the 63-year-old boss. Along with United, he's spent time coaching at fellow marquee clubs Barcelona and Bayern Munich as well as several other stops, including the Netherlands national team.
The only question now is how long he'll stay with United. He's still in his first campaign at the helm and didn't suggest his exit is imminent. But there's apparently a nice place in Portugal waiting for him whenever he does decide it's time for the next chapter of his life.
