Danish Publication Attempts to Make Nicklas Bendtner's 'Lord' Nickname Official
The "Lord Bendtner" nickname for Nicklas Bendtner has reached even new levels of the extreme.
He's now officially a "lord." Well, almost.
Danish publication SE Og HOR say that they've bought the Danish striker a bit of land in Scotland so that the "lord" part of his nickname can finally be permanent.

No, really.
The publication apparently picked up a whopping square foot of land in Glencoe Wood, part of a nature reserve, in Bendtner's name, making him a "lord" of said land.
According to James Whaling of the Mirror, though, those who love his (mostly) affectionate nickname shouldn't get too far ahead of themselves in branding the title official, as "there is some doubt over whether Highland Titles Limited, who awarded him the honour, have the right to award official titles."

Still, though, the move was well received in the Bendtner camp.
"We have seen it, and Nicklas thinks it’s a fun gimmick," Bendtner's agent Elisa Lykke said, per the same Mirror report. "We have been asked to be sent a receipt and we are pleased that it supports a nature conservation area."
