Oh Look, Alfredo Simon Has a Chrome Mercedes Benz

In more “athletes with shiny cars” news, I would like to inform our readers that Alfredo Simon has an all-chrome Mercedes Benz. 

The Detroit Tigers righty parked his whip (I'm legally compelled to call chrome vehicles “whips”) outside Joker Marchant Stadium, where it caught the eye of MLive.com’s Chris Iott (h/t Eye On Baseball’s Mike Axisa).

Iott says Simon confirms the paint job as “chrome”—not metallic. 

Of course, this revelation comes hard on the heels of Kansas City Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar rolling up to spring training in a bangin’ (another required descriptor) gold Range Rover on Tuesday.

Royals communication and broadcasting vice president Mike Swanson posted a picture of Escobar’s ride. He writes that he’d like to see the shortstop get a matching Gold Glove for the dash.

Now, I’ve never ridden in an expensive chrome or metallic car, but I imagine it is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking up one.
