Tuff-N-Uff Showcases Ryan "The Lion" Couture at "Future Stars Of MMA"
It's time again for another installment of Tuff-N-Uff's amateur fight promotion. Saturday August 22nd Tuff-N-Uff brings their "Future Stars of MMA" event to fans, in the fight capital of the world Las Vegas Nevada.
Future Stars is an event that will prove electric without a doubt, and sure to live up to its name.
After the groundbreaking Tuff Girls event last month, that saw the first ever all female MMA fight card in Vegas history, the Meyer brothers are at it again.
This time around they showcase Ryan "The Lion" Couture, son of Randy "The Natural" Couture. Ryan is a crafty student of the game who is sure to impress.
There will be an abundance of game amateur fighters anxiously waiting to make their mark on this sport. Along with those fighters come the fight teams they represent.
Highly respected fight teams such as Extreme Couture, Warrior Training, Cobra Kai, Wand Fight Team, and many more will be showcasing their up and coming students at Tuff-N-Uff events. These are not your run of the mill strip mall MMA gyms.
These are teams that develop some of the best fighters in the world. So is it quite possible that these very competitors at Future Stars are exactly as advertised? Without a doubt they represent the next crop of up and comers in this game.
For example, Couture's opponent Jimmy Spicuzza brings a brand of fight that is undeniable. He is aggressive, powerful, fast, and downright mean in that ring.
Another aspiring fighter you may have never heard of that may make waves in the sport is Chris Holdsworth. Chris just attained the honor of his black belt under Marc Laimon. He will be fighting for a title on this night.
Another interesting story is that of Matt Polly. Author of American Shaolin, martial arts enthusiast and practitioner, his travels have led him across the world and back. He spent two years training under Shaolin Monks in China. Now he wants to test his skill in the ring at Future Stars.
Every big name fighter out there started at the roots, at the base of the sport. While they stand tall atop the mountain today, they all traveled the same road. A road fraught with hard work, blood, pain, grit, victory, and defeat.
Fight fans are in a prime position to support that journey for today's up and coming fighters, as well as the premier Amateur MMA promotion Tuff-N-Uff.
Amateur is a title, a title given to a person who does not fall into the pro athlete category. This title does not dictate potential nor ability. It only outlines the point in an athletes career that they are currently in.
Consider the excitement surrounding college sports, or even the Olympics. All of those competitors are amateurs. All of those competitors are capable of capturing the hearts and minds of the fans. These fighters possess that potential as well.
Listen, the bottom line is this; you call yourself a fight fan, well put your money where your mouth is. You say you love this sport, support it.
You love to watch a fight? Well put down the Tapout shirt, take your eyes off of Brock Lesnar for a moment, and take note of the heart of the sport. Take note of up and coming fighters of today and possible stars of the future.
Support amateur MMA. Support Berry and Jeff Meyer. Support their quest to provide the opportunity for aspiring fighters. By doing so you support your own love for this sport. You support the fighters of tomorrow and make them stronger by patronizing those who would guide their journey.
Founded in 1994, Tuff-N-Uff Productions is the nation's premiere amateur MMA organization. Tuff-N-Uff is a proving ground for amateur fighters providing an unparalleled outlet for up and coming fighters.
Tuff-N-Uff strives to help the younger generation of fighters pursue their dreams of becoming professional MMA athletes through the development of individual athletic skills, work ethic, discipline, sportsmanship, self-respect, and pride.
It is hard to deny an approach like that. So do what you can, do the fighters, the sport, yourself, and the organization a favor. Do your part to support this movement.
This card boasts over 20 match ups for the evening. While it may be local to the Vegas fight crowd, this event is going to be available to anyone with an Internet connection.
ibnsports.com will stream the event for a modest $3.99. If you can't catch it live, it will be on demand for a year. Don't miss out!
The real treat will be if you can somehow make it down to The Orleans Hotel and Casino to catch this live. Were talking about a great venue with a personal feel to it. The crowd is intense and the fights are riveting. There are not many experiences like catching a live event.
The Orleans and Tuff-N-Uff have a great relationship that allows for discounted rooms for fans coming to see the fight. Tickets are attainable and modestly priced starting at $25. Contact the Orleans Casino Box Office at 888-365-7111.
