Spot Light On Rogers
When Carlos Rogers went down with an ACL injury on October 28 2007, against the New England Patriots people lost faith in him and believed his days in Washington were numbered.
In the 2008 off-season, Rogers worked his tail off and had an impressive training camp and was ready when the Redskins opened up the regular season against the New York Giants.
Rogers was Washington's best corner back the first half of the NFL season, he made big plays, shut out opposing teams number one receivers and defensive coordinator Greg Blache suggested that Rogers should have made the Pro Bowl with his impressive play.

However, Rogers fell down in the Redskins depth chart in the second half of the NFL season. With the addition of DeAngelo Hall, and veteran Shawn Springs they became the two top corner backs for Washington at the end of the season.
In a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Rogers didn't play as much and he became frustrated.
"In Cincinnati, I played [just] nine plays. "I'm used to playing 60 to 70 plays. All of a sudden, you're a backup, you're a nickel, you're a third corner. That don't sit well with me. I still haven't had answers to the questions I want to know."
"I'm not a backup to nobody. I'm a starter in this league. Everybody knows that. There's a lot of teams that would give their right arm to have me on their team."
With Springs gone, Rogers and Hall has become Washington two top corner backs. Hall will probably be lined up with the opposing team best wide out, while Rogers will be lined up with the opposing team second best wide out and that should make it more easier for Rogers.
When Washington plays the New York Giants on September 13, the spot light will be on Rogers and he has to produce or else he will be gone.
