Luis Suarez Blasts New Bite Allegations After Barcelona's Win at Manchester City
Luis Suarez has demanded more respect from a British media he feels are trying to make trouble for him.
There were suggestions the Barcelona striker had bitten Manchester City's Martin Demichelis during Barca's 2-1 win in the UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg, as documented by MailOnline writer Matt Morlidge.
However, after subsequent footage proved the allegation had no merit, Suarez has gone on the offensive. He aimed his critique at the British press he feels is victimising him for past offences.

Speaking to Uruguayan radio station Sport 890 (h/t MailOnline's Nicholas Godden), Suarez said, "He [Demichelis] put his hand on my throat. I do not understand why they [the English media] want to do this. They want to make trouble - a mountain out of a molehill."
Suarez even suggested that his role in England's demise at the 2014 FIFA World Cup is behind a media-fuelled agenda, saying, "They must be hurt after what I did to them in the World Cup but they forget that I played in England and they should show me some respect."

While a typically brilliant two-goal salvo from Suarez did see Uruguay past England and eliminate the Three Lions from events in Brazil, Suarez seems oblivious to his past transgressions.
At that same tournament, he was correctly accused of biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini. The offence would earn Suarez a lengthy ban.
It was his second costly chomp in just over a year. The controversial yet outrageously talented attacker had previously received Premier League admonishment after sinking his teeth into the arm of Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.
Suarez served a 10-game suspension before completing a stunning final season with Liverpool. His efforts once he returned to the pitch earned him a summer switch to the Camp Nou.
Suarez has made a relatively slow start to life at the Catalan club, although his brace to bury City in the first leg is a step in the right direction.
But no matter where he plays, or how well, it seems Suarez will never be far from controversy for long.
