WWE Fastlane 2015 Results: Worst Booking Decisions from PPV
As a pay-per-view that failed to completely fire up excitement and expectation ahead of WWE WrestleMania 31, Fastlane had its fair share of booking errors.
Fans will no doubt be split over whether Roman Reigns advancing to the main event at WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar was the right call, for starters. However, there is enough logic in that decision to suggest that it wasn't the worst thing the WWE did on the night.
The first big booking error came in the opening bout, a six-man tag team match featuring Dolph Zigger, Erick Rowan and Ryback vs. Seth Rollins, Kane and Big Show. Superstars such as Ziggler and Rollins are befitting of a spot higher on the card, but that wasn't the real error here.

The match, which felt like an awkward choice to kick off the show, ended when Kane hit Ziggler with a chokeslam—but there was no real merit in Kane picking up the win here. In order to help him look as strong as possible, it would have been good to see Rollins score the winning pinfall in this instance.
Given how Randy Orton didn't make his return until after the final bell, it seemed strange that the WWE wouldn't have given Rollins another strong win on pay-per-view. When you factor in another loss for Rollins on Raw the night after Fastlane, too, it hasn't made for the greatest 24 hours in Rollins' serious push to the top of the WWE.
There was also a match on the card that was potentially rushed to pay-per-view too soon. Given how Stardust only fully turned on brother Goldust in the final Raw prior to Fastlane, their match at the pay-per-view seemed a tad hurried.
We could have quite easily held off on this match until WrestleMania and had Stardust execute the turn at Fastlane. Now we're in a scenario where the WWE has to keep plugging away at this feud's potential and build up a rematch that the rivalry really doesn't need.

Hopefully there's sufficient legs in the feud for the two to go around again, potentially with a win for Stardust at WrestleMania.
Finally, there was the decision to keep Bad News Barrett as the intercontinental champion at Fastlane but have Dean Ambrose abscond with the belt over his shoulder.
You just get the feeling that Barrett is in need of a fresh move after a number of losses on TV over the past few weeks. The smart decision would have been to have Ambrose win the title at Fastlane and have a rejuvenated Barrett come back after Ambrose, full of energy and fresh direction.
All we have now is Barrett limping his way toward WrestleMania with little impetus. But the positive for both the Englishman and Ambrose is that they have the chemistry and the talent to salvage this feud.
