Daytona 500 2015 Results: Finishing Order, Reaction from Joey Logano's Triumph
Three months of waiting boiled down to 200 laps on Daytona Beach. By the end of the Daytona 500, it was Joey Logano hoisting his first Harley J. Earl Trophy after winning NASCAR's most illustrious race.
The Team Penske driver is just 24 years old, making him the second-youngest driver to capture the season opener. It also just so happened to mark the second time that a Penske car has visited Victory Lane and the first since Ryan Newman's victory in 2008.
Logano passed along his excitement on the morning after the huge win:
Not only did Logano win on Sunday, he held off some of the best drivers in the sport just behind him. Kevin Harvick, the defending Sprint Cup champion, was held at bay and finished second. The 2014 Daytona 500 winner, Dale Earnhardt Jr., was storming back to finish third.
Here's a look at the results from the Daytona 500. Full results can be found at NASCAR.com.

In an offseason where young drivers like Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott were all the rage, Logano reminded people just how great he truly is.
No, this isn't a Trevor Bayne story. Logano didn't just swoop in and win his first race on the sport's biggest stage with a single-car team. However, his story is no less impressive.
Given the moniker "Sliced Bread" when he first came into the Sprint Cup, Logano lived up to it last year. After collecting just three wins over his first five full-time seasons, the Penske driver captured five in 2014 and is already off to another strong start.
Logano's triumph on Sunday drew praise from other drivers around the sport:
Nate Ryan of NBC Sports offered his take on the reaction from the drivers:
Already having six years of Sprint Cup experience at just 24 years old, Logano might be primed for a championship season this year. However, competing on 1.5-mile and short tracks will be equally as important.
Winning at Texas, Bristol, Richmond and Kansas last season, Logano proved that shouldn't be an issue. He also won two Chase races, making it clear that he can shine when the lights are the brightest. Now that he has a spot in NASCAR's postseason, he'll be eyeing another trip to the Championship Round.
The last driver to win his first 500 and title in the same season was Jimmie Johnson in 2006. With a future as bright as Logano's, he might just be the next in line.
