Miller Limps to Locker Room

Sunday, Feb. 22

The team's Twitter feed and the Vancouver Province's Jason Botchford provided the details:

CBS Sports provided a look at the play, and James O'Brien of NBC Sports' ProHockeyTalk posted this video:

Before leaving with the injury, Miller had recorded 10 saves, helping the Canucks to a 1-0 lead in the second period against the Metropolitan-leading New York Islanders. The team's Twitter feed noted the importance of 34-year-old netminder:

Entering the game, Miller was 27-15-1 with a .912 save percentage and six shutouts in 43 games. 27-year-old Eddie Lack, who has a .913 save percentage in 19 games, will fill in for as long as the veteran remains sidelined.

Vancouver currently owns the second playoff spot in the Pacific. But Willie Desjardins' team continues to be ravaged by injuries, and if this proves serious, it may be difficult to overcome.
