Ibe is reportedly set to receive a significant pay increase, as well as a longer-term deal which will tie him to Anfield for the time being.
Since being recalled from Derby in January—where he scored five goals in 20 appearances—Ibe has appeared four times in the Premier League, twice as a starter against Everton and Tottenham, per WhoScored.com.
As WhoScored.com's Dinesh Hardayal notes, Ibe's dribbling has been impressive, and he is a versatile presence, able to play in attack on either flank and withdraw deeper if necessary:
Boss Brendan Rodgers clearly sees the Englishman as a valuable asset, and he looks set to appear in Thursday's Europa League clash with Besiktas on Thursday.
Ibe arrived at Liverpool in 2012 under manager Kenny Dalglish and is proving his worth for the Reds this term. He is set to play a key role in a crucial period as the season draws to a close.
