Cricket World Cup 2015: Top Run-Scorers, Wicket-Takers and Averages After Day 6
Day 6 of the 2015 World Cup saw Zimbabwe narrowly edge out the United Arab Emirates in Nelson to record their first victory of the tournament.
Zimbabwe lost to South Africa in their opening match but a fine unbeaten knock from Sean Williams saw them to victory against the UAE as they chased down a target of 286.
In their first match of the tournament—appearing for the first time in a World Cup since 1996—UAE's total of 285-7 was very respectable and they defended it well with the ball.
But Zimbabwe's superior quality eventually came through in the Pool B clash.
Read on to see how Thursday's action altered the tournament's leading bowling and batting figures.

Day 6 Standout Performers
7 of 7
Economy Proved Vital in Nelson
Zimbabwe's Tendai Chatara proved the pick of Thursday's bowlers in Nelson, and his contribution was key as the overwhelming pre-match favourites only narrowly beat the UAE.
Chatara had taken just the one wicket against South Africa in Zimbabwe's opener, but he picked up three against the UAE, going for only 42 runs from his 10 overs.
Considering Zimbabwe only had 12 balls to spare in chasing down the 286 target set for them for victory, Chatara's economy proved vital in keeping the UAE score down.
His three key wickets—those of Rohan Mustafa, the dangerous Khurram Khan and opener Amjad Ali—saw him move into the tournament's top 10 wicket-takers.
Chatara's figures are the 10th best of the tournament so far—they included a single maiden—and he was well backed up by Sean Williams and Solomon Mire, who both took two wickets each.
Zimbabwe's Middle Order Won Through
Zimbabwe's openers were very well restricted early on in their run-chase as UAE bowlers Mohammad Naveed and Amjad Javed conceded just 18 runs from the first six overs.
However, Zimbabwe's early struggles were eventually eased by the likes of Brendan Taylor, Williams and Craig Ervine.
Taylor's 47 moved him into the tournament's top 10 run-scorers after his 40 against the Proteas while Williams added to his bowling contribution with a fine knock.
An unbeaten 76 from Williams saw Zimbabwe over the line and moves him into the top 10 tournament averages having compiled 84 runs while only being dismissed once.
UAE's top-scorer in their opening tournament match was Shaiman Anwar, who put together an impressive 67 off 50 balls, a contribution that against a lesser side could have proved match-winning.
