UNC Basketball Recruiting: Players Who Should Be on Tar Heels' Wish List
Class of 2015
Right now, North Carolina's 2015 recruiting class is one man deep, per ESPN.com. That man is smooth-shooting power forward Luke Maye. He brings an element to UNC's frontcourt that it hasn't had in a long while.
The Tar Heels also have offers out for a few of the remaining unsigned players, including Jaylen Brown and Brandon Ingram.

At this point in the process, if they miss on both of those guys, there isn't really anywhere else to turn. Signing one would be nice to solidify some wing scoring for next season; signing both would be an unexpected coup.

Class of 2016
Most players have yet to commit for the 2016 class, but according to ESPN.com, Carolina has sent out a number of offers to top players, including the nation's No. 1 prospect, small forward Jayson Tatum.
For the 2016-17 basketball season, UNC will certainly be without many of its current contributors. All of Marcus Paige, J.P. Tokoto, Brice Johnson and Joel James will have been seniors the year prior. Also, one or more of the top performing underclassmen may decide to leave school early for the NBA.
But assuming there's a core of the young guys on the team now still intact, UNC will need to specifically reload its frontcourt.
According to 247Sports, that makes two 5-star power forwards from the North Carolina area high on the team's wish list for 2016.
Harry Giles and Edrice Adebayo are both from NC. The former is arguably the best big man in the entire class. He can do it all and just needs to fine-tune his outside shot. Adebayo is a bit smaller but can score in the post and goes after rebounds with tenacity.
The Heels should also be focused on finding their next go-to scorer. That wish list may start with a 4-star guard they put an offer out to: Seventh Woods.
Apparently named after a Bible verse, Woods may be the best athlete at the guard position in high school basketball. There are other more highly rated guard prospects in this class, but Woods could be the most exciting grab for whoever signs him.
Class of 2017
By 2017, the entire UNC roster will be reshaped from what we know today. A couple of the current freshmen may still be around, but they may also have left a year (or more) early.
North Carolina has made an offer to one player in the class of 2017, and per ESPN.com, he has already committed to the Tar Heels. That player is South Carolina shooting guard Jalek Felton.
Recognize the name?
Jalek, nephew of former UNC star Raymond, is a 5-star guard whose early game resembles his uncle's a bit in energy and aggression, but with more hops.
UNC would obviously like to pair Felton with a couple of other top recruits in this class. Someone like small forward Michael Porter could be an excellent fit.
Porter was a guard who seems to be growing into a forward's frame. He can shoot from deep and only needs to harness his skills to be elite.
A player in ACC country to keep an eye on is center Wendell Carter out of Georgia. Already a powerful 6'8" and still growing, Carter can develop into the anchor of a team inside, both offensively and defensively.
