Manchester United Transfer News: Huge Cristiano Ronaldo Rumour and More
It seems like the eternal rumour that will never go away, but Spanish reports now suggest Real Madrid are prepared to sell Cristiano Ronaldo back to Manchester United.
Chisanga Malata of the Daily Star cites Spanish newspaper El Confidencial's claim that Galactico supremo Florentino Perez wants to cash in on CR7, as he believes the player "has entered the final stages of his career."
United's spending power will be unprecedented next season, with the huge boost of an astonishing £5 billion-plus TV deal for the Premier League, as reported by Martin Samuel of the Daily Mail, attracting the best talent from around the world with wage deals that cannot be matched in Spain.

BBC Sport quote La Liga president Javier Tebas admitting his country's top football competition is in huge trouble with the advent of the new EPL deal, a factor which could eventually see Ronaldo return to England:
"We [La Liga] have a serious problem. We won't be the best league in a year. We're going to lose a lot of value in the market because the Premier League is going to snap up all of the global TV competition and contracts.
"

Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, recently spoke about the influx of money into the English game to Dan Roan of the BBC, proclaiming the financial rewards are "fantastic" in the EPL and hinting even more cash will pour into football soon:
"The Premier League is doing a brilliant job. You have clubs at the bottom of the league earning £80m a season. That's what the very top clubs in Portugal earn.
Listen, football is the number one sport in the world. You have others like Formula 1 and NBA, but football is number one. People ask if we've reached a limit. They'll be asking the same thing in three years from now.
"

Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for United during his years with the club, per Malata, but with the player recently turning 30 years old, the debate will begin of how long he has left at the very top.
United have seen the loan acquisition of Radamel Falcao go wrong this season, as the Colombian struggles with form and fitness, so this failure will either push the Red Devils to curb their spending or force them to seek out a world superstar in the shape of their former magnificent No. 7.
And football writer Graham Hunter believes, many have become blase about the goals Ronaldo brings with himself to a team. Undoubtedly, United could do with a devastating goalscorer with CR7's capabilities:
In other news, United are being linked with a move for a Brazilian teenage prodigy drawing comparisons to Neymar.
Lewis Rudd of the Metro says Louis van Gaal is planning a £5 million deal for 19-year-old Kenedy, who the club have scouted for "the past few years."
The prodigy is currently at Fluminense—the team United purchased Rafael and Fabio Da Silva from in 2008—and Rudd says United hope they can once again do business with Brazilian side.

Of course, any talk of Ronaldo gets the blood pumping for any United fan, but there is a bigger question about his fitness that needs to be addressed.
Ronaldo began to suffer with several minor injuries last term which certainly affected his performance levels at the World Cup with Portugal.
Outside of Real Madrid, it will be impossible to tell where CR7 stands in terms of his long-term health, but any multimillion-pound move for the player carries a certain element of risk. He is not the super-healthy footballer he once was.
But as we all know, Ronaldo scores goals—and lots of them. He already has 28 goals from 20 La Liga performances this season, per WhoScored.com, so a return to United would surely drag them to where they want to be: back in the Champions League and top of the Premier League.
