Fabregas Posts Image of Nose Injury on Social Media

The Spanish international posted an image of his nose and two subsequent black eyes on Instagram after receiving a whack from Stoke's Charlie Adam:
Oliver Todd of the Daily Mail noted he will wear a protective mask.
George Ankers of Goal.com believes the caption, "Italy with Dr. Paco," suggests Fabregas underwent surgery to fix the damage.

Fabregas has been one of Mourinho's key individuals in the team's rise to the top of the Premier League, and the Special One's midfield is considerably weaker if Fabregas remains sidelined.
The ex-Barcelona man was originally absent at the end of January after being injured in the Blues' League Cup victory over Liverpool, with Mourinho saying, per BBC Sport, "Fabregas reported a tight hamstring. He said he wasn't yet injured but that he would be soon if he continued."
However, the player did miss the matches against Manchester City and Aston Villa, with Chelsea clearly lacking an edge without the Spaniard present.
Fabregas has also suffered with illness recently, with Mourinho confirming the midfielder was sick ahead of the team's Champions League match with Paris Saint-Germain, per Tom Sheen of The Independent.

The Catalan midfielder has proved his worth to the Stamford Bridge club this term, and Barca's loss is Chelsea's gain.
Just why he was hounded out of the Camp Nou is unknown considering the consistent brilliance he has displayed in his Premier League return.
Fabregas already has an outrageous 19 assists to his name in 35 Premier League and European matches, per WhoScored.com, and he has once again returned to the collective of best players in world football.
He could turn out to be one of Mourinho's greatest captures, especially if the Blues go on to lift the Premier League trophy in May.
