Mizzou's Kim Anderson's Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Engine Failure
Missouri Tigers men's basketball coach Kim Anderson is required to be constantly on the go because of his job. On top of following the rigorous basketball schedule laid out by the SEC, Anderson makes countless recruiting trips and attends various functions as a representative of the university.
But that all took a heart-stopping turn last night as KMOX Sports Director Tom Ackerman took to Twitter after speaking to Anderson about his most recent plane trip.
"MU's Kim Anderson, on a recruiting trip last night, tells me his plane made an emergency landing when one engine shut down. @kmoxnews at 11.

KOMU's Ashley Colley relayed Anderson's account of the incident.
"There was a little rumble. I looked over and the right engine had shut off," Anderson told Colley.
Pilots circled a few times before making an emergency landing in St. Clair, Missouri. They then drove back to Columbia, which is just over 100 miles from St. Clair.
KOMU in Columbia is reporting that the emergency landing took place at roughly 5 p.m. CT. St. Clair's Fire Protection District Chief Les Crew confirmed to KOMU that no one was injured in the emergency landing. The pilot made a successful landing on a small runway inside the airport.
According to Colley, the plane involved is registered to Certified Realty Corporation, a business in downtown Columbia. The plane was purchased in 2013 from Mis Alas, an international cosmetics company. The plane was next scheduled for inspection in 2016.
The University of Missouri has not released a statement regarding the incident yet.
Anderson is in his first year as coach of the University of Missouri men's basketball team. He's a former player and assistant coach under Norm Stewart and is guiding the Tigers through a rebuilding year. Missouri is currently on a 10-game losing streak.
Ackerman did not immediately respond on Twitter when asked about details of the incident.
