She may only be in the eighth grade, but Davis is already a superstar in the sports world.
The young pitching phenom for the Taney Dragons gained national attention during the 2014 Little League World Series. Since that point, she has been one of the most recognizable young athletes in the country.
What got her to this point might have been baseball, but Davis loves the sport of basketball. She recently got to meet Stephen Curry, who actually asked her for an autograph, via Bleacher Report:
Even NBA superstars get awestruck by the budding celebrity.
Since her rise to stardom in Williamsport, Davis has also shared her aspirations for eventually playing basketball in college. In fact, she's already said she hopes to play for UConn, a perennial powerhouse in women's basketball.
Jon Tayler of Sports Illustrated hopes to see Davis put on a show at the event:
Jamie Apody of WPVI TV believes she might take home the highest honor on Friday:
She might be the youngest competitor, but she's clearly a great athlete. If Davis gets a chance against Kevin Hart, the size advantage won't be too great for Davis to overcome.
