Westbrook Records 10th Triple-Double of Career, 2nd of Season

Bleacher Report MilestonesFeb 3, 2015

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook recorded the 10th triple-double of his career in Monday's 104-97 win over the Orlando Magic, tallying 25 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists over 38 minutes, per Sportsnet Stats.

With teammate Kevin Durant sidelined by a toe injury, Westbrook made the most of a favorable matchup against an Orlando team that has struggled terribly on defense in recent weeks.

Not only did he pile up the counting stats, but Westbrook also had an efficient night, making eight of his 15 field-goal attempts and all eight of his free throws. He only turned the ball over twice, and he added four steals and a block for good measure.

Monday's triple-double was his second of the 2014-15 season, as Westbrook previously recorded 17 points, 15 rebounds and 17 assists in a 127-115 win over the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 16.

In addition to his 10 career triple-doubles during the regular season, Westbrook has posted four in the playoffs, with three of those coming in a 10-day stretch last season, per Basketball-Reference.com's play index.

Westbrook is one of 27 players to record 10 or more triple-doubles in the regular season, with the list including only five other active players, per Basketball-Reference.com's play index. The names are rather unsurprising, as the list is topped by none other than LeBron James (37), followed by Rajon Rondo (22), Kobe Bryant (21), Kevin Garnett (16) and Chris Paul (12).

Among active players, only James (11), Rondo (10) and Westbrook (four) have four or more triple-doubles in the postseason, per Basketball-Reference.com's play index.

One of the three, likely James, figures to eventually break Magic Johnson's all-time record of 12 triple-doubles in the playoffs.
