Sergio Ramos Deals Huge Blow to Chelsea, Manchester United Transfer Rumours
Sergio Ramos has blown the rumours about his future out of the water by saying he is "happier than ever" at Real Madrid, disappointing Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Spain international confirmed to Los Blancos' official website that he has little intention of leaving the capital city anytime soon and seems content with life at the Decima Champions League winners:
"We have not talked to the club about any extension. I have two years left and I am happier than ever because I cannot imagine myself in any other shirt apart from this one.

Anthony Chapman of the Express recently wrote Ramos was "keeping his options open ahead of a shock departure at the end of the season," with the defender hoping to command a new wage similar to that of Gareth Bale.
Chapman also reported Chelsea are reviewing their long-term options with replacing the ageing John Terry, and have sounded Ramos' agent out about a potential move to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Arsenal also "ready to match any offers submitted."
But Madrid assistant coach Paul Clement recently proclaimed none of Madrid's stars will be leaving the Bernabeu anytime soon, per Amar Singh and Ashish Sharma of the London Evening Standard:
"My understanding at the moment is that the club and manager's very happy with squad of players—we haven't got a big squad. But it is a squad packed with quality and there are no current plans for ins and outs.
"
Ramos previously worked with Jose Mourinho during the Blues boss' time with the Galacticos and this could give him the edge on capturing the defender if he comes on to the market.

However, the Special One and outspoken Galactico have had disagreements in the past, with Darren Lewis of the Mirror recently reporting on Mourinho's words, in response to Ramos questioning why Chelsea's Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas had missed international duty:
"Since I’ve known Sergio Ramos he has been a fantastic football player, but he is not a doctor. He is not a doctor and I am the same. I do my job the best I can but I am not a doctor.
"
Despite the minor differences, Mourinho knows the value of a player like Ramos, and he would fit perfectly into Chelsea's star-studded squad.

Ramos has once again been a hugely influential figure in Madrid's current charge to the top of La Liga, playing 17 times in the league this season and scoring three times, per WhoScored.com.
He is one of the Spanish contingent of players at Los Blancos who wields real power behind the scenes and in the press, and a move away from Madrid would certainly be a shock.
Ramos is certainly still in his prime and Florentino Perez will not want to lose one of his club's great servants in the coming months.
The Premier League would be a great challenge for a player of Ramos' standing and he knows he will be able to command a phenomenal wage in England.
But Madrid is in the player's heart, and matters would have to take a dramatic turn for the worse to see him depart the Bernabeu.
