NFL Defensive Player of the Year 2014-15: Winner, Voting Results and Reaction

J.J. Watt was not of this world in 2014. The Houston Texans defensive end wreaked havoc on opposing quarterbacks all year, and his incredible campaign was richly rewarded Saturday night.

To the surprise of no one, Watt won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year:

Watt's numbers from this past season were beyond impressive. He had 20.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, one interception and two touchdowns, not to mention three touchdown receptions. He almost single-handedly dragged the Texans into the playoffs even after all of their quarterback issues.

Watt is truly a once-in-a-generation player. Every week, he does something special.

This is unlikely to be the last time he's honored for his on-field performance.
