NFL Mock Draft 2015: 1st-Round Predictions for Every Team Ahead of Super Bowl
NFL fans are currently focused on Super Bowl XLIX coming up this Sunday, but die-hard fans of the other 30 franchises are already looking ahead to the offseason. For those who didn't make the playoffs or make a deep run, there is a wealth of talent in the first round this year.
Headed by quarterbacks like Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota, there are players on both sides of the ball who can make an immediate impact. But with several teams needing to have an impact player offensively, skill positions are at a premium.
Prior to the 2015 Super Bowl kicking off, here's a look at the latest first-round mock and a breakdown of some of the top skill position players.

4. Oakland Raiders: Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
No player in the draft has proved to be more dynamic during his college career than Amari Cooper. The Alabama receiver set school and SEC records in 2014 with 124 receptions for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Though he seems like a perfect fit for the Oakland Raiders, one ESPN analyst doesn't want to see it happen. Stephen A. Smith offered his take on Cooper to Oakland, via Duane Rankin of the Montgomery Advertiser:
"This dude, as far as I'm concerned, is the best wideout in football. He does not deserve to be contaminated by being an Oakland Raider. I pray that he is not subjected to such a thing. ...
I don't want this to happen to Amari Cooper. I don't wish this on him. There's a black cat running around in a black hole and something ain't right and I don't want that to happen to Amari Cooper. Anywhere but to the Raiders. Please don't subject this good kid to this. Not to the Raiders. Please, don't touch him.
"
Regardless of what Smith believes, the Raiders are in dire need of a wideout who can change the game offensively. With Derek Carr already in place as the franchise quarterback, giving him a weapon like Cooper makes the offense even more potent.
Already having Latavius Murray in the backfield and Mychal Rivera at tight end, the Raiders have a young core to build around. Bringing in Cooper might make Oakland a dark horse in the competitive AFC West.
15. San Francisco 49ers: Kevin White, WR, West Virginia

While I currently view Kevin White as the No. 3 receiver on the board, his explosiveness and playmaking ability are undeniable. After going off with 109 receptions for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns, White enjoyed his best season to date with West Virginia in 2014.
White attended Lackawanna College during his first two seasons, but he broke out with the Mountaineers to solidify himself as a first-round lock. In fact, Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com believes he's the best receiver in the class:
His talent is immense, but the body of work from Cooper proves he's a more reliable option at the top of the draft board. On tape, Luke Easterling of Draft Breakdown sees Cooper having a narrow edge over the next two receivers:
If White does fall to the middle of the first round, the San Francisco 49ers will happily take him at No. 15. They need a No. 1 receiver who can stretch the field for Colin Kaepernick, and White would pair up perfectly with Michael Crabtree.
Having Carlos Hyde in the backfield for years to come with Crabtree and White in the receiving game, the Niners would have an offense that can compete with the Seattle Seahawks again.
26. Baltimore Ravens: Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin

In the last two drafts, no running back has been taken in the first round. One player who can change that pattern is Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon.
The Heisman finalist tallied 2,740 yards from scrimmage and 32 total touchdowns for the Badgers this past season. Gordon's bruising style and breakaway speed make him the top tailback in a special class that includes Todd Gurley, Tevin Coleman and Ameer Abdullah.
One NFL scout compared him to one of the best offensive weapons in the NFL.
"Tough to come up with a clean comparison. I see some similarities to an oversized Jamaal Charles," the scout said, via Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com. "But I also see a little bit of Darren McFadden. I love his home run ability, but I'm not crazy about his vision and instincts. I guess I'd say he's closer to Charles than anyone else."
Apparently, scouts aren't the only ones who believe he has Charles' skill set. LaDainian Tomlinson, who knows a little about what it takes to be a great running back, made a similar comparison for Gordon, via Chase Goodbread of NFL.com:
"I think Melvin Gordon to me, is a guy who reminds me a lot of Jamaal Charles. So I think clearly he will be the No. 1 running back coming off the board for the simple fact that Todd Gurley is coming off of that injury.
If it hadn't been for that injury, those guys would be neck and neck for the No. 1 running back coming off the board.
"
If Gordon can bring that same tenacity to the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens, they will have another dynamic player on offense. Justin Forsett filled the tailback role admirably, but the veteran isn't exactly the future for the franchise. Gordon can be depended on in that role.
