Breaking News: Donte Stallworth's Wish Granted by Miami Judge
MIAMI—A Miami judge has granted Cleveland Brown's wide receiver Donte Stallworth the ability to work out with a strength and conditioning coach while he serves his two-year house arrest.
Stallworth killed a man, Mario Reyes, while driving under the influence on March 14 in Miami. Stallworth has life-disturbing memories of the incident that he shared with ESPN's Michael Smith in an exclusive E:60 interview.
“I'm coming around the bend at about 40 mph, and I see Mr. Reyes in the bus lane to my right, and suddenly he runs into the street," said Stallworth, who was speeding while he was going around the bend on a Miami street.

Stallworth added, "I flicked my lights and honked my horn in an approach to try to warn him and I applied my brakes. We collided. That's one of the many vivid things that still plays in my head to this day is the sound of that accident and you know, that's something to this day I can still hear as clear as it just happened."
It is impossible to prove that Stallworth was aware of Reyes walking into the street or that Reyes did in fact run across the road. But when all is said and done, Stallworth was driving under the influence of alcohol and the presence of marijuana is likely, and he did kill the man.
Stallworth served 24 days of his 30-day imprisonment in a Miami jail. He still has to serve 1,000 hours of community service and his driver's license is lost for life.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has suspended Stallworth indefinitely due to the March 14 incident.
Stallworth will have to prove to the NFL, Cleveland Browns, and to the public that he is a changed man and that he will be able to fulfill the remainder of his seven-year, $35 million contract with the Browns in an orderly fashion.
Now that Stallworth is able to work out five days a week during his house arrest, he will have to maintain good shape and continue to get stronger if he wants to return to the NFL one day.
