WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of January 19
Leading up to the Royal Rumble, the man who won that match in 1992 and one of his oldest rivals starred in some of the best WWE-related social media.
Another impression of Ric Flair buzzed around the Internet. Tweets centered around Sting's arrival to Raw. Damien Mizdow, an unexpected tag team match and a video salute to strong women begged to be shared as well.
Without even trying, Steve Austin made his way onto the list, too.

The hashtag "ExplainThe90sin4Words" trended this week, as everyone from Ellen DeGeneres to CBS Sports tried to explain a decade in a terribly short space. Former ECW and WWE announcer Joey Styles also gave it a shot.
While his effort leaves out plenty, it does well to sum things up from the WWE perspective at least:
"#ExplainThe90sIn4Words Stone Cold Steve Austin @WWE @WWENetwork @SteveAustinBSR
— Joey Styles (@JoeyStyles) January 21, 2015"
Monday's Raw had a decidedly '90s flavor with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash all appearing. X-Pac (Sean Waltman), both a former member of D-Generation X and the nWo, was there twice. Sort of.
Mizdow briefly put a hold on his Miz-mirroring duties to play X-Pac. The actual Waltman was clearly impressed:
X-Pac and "X-Dow" seem like an unlikely pairing until you see Liverpool midfielder Raheem Sterling team up with Kane.
During a game against Chelsea, things got odd when John Terry tackled Sterling with a move that looked more like an octopus hold than something that belongs on the pitch. The meme-makers of the world had plenty of fun with it.
Sterling posted one on Instagram of him and Kane working a tag match together:
WWE also merged with the other kind of football this week. Following Sergio Brown of the Indianapolis Colts channeling his inner Flair after a playoff win, the cheerleaders looked to do the same thing.
Brown may have gotten closer to Flair's promo style, but this version is enjoyable viewing in its own right:
On Monday's Raw, Flair sat on a Legends panel. Predictably, things got chaotic before long.
Flair found himself out cold at the hands of Big Show. As the former heavyweight champ lie on the mat, in came Roman Reigns. That powerhouse is quickly becoming one of WWE's top babyfaces, entering the 2015 Rumble as the favorite.
Before that battle, he had one to fight in Las Vegas. WWE shared a cool shot of him heading to the ring during a house show over the weekend:
Reigns would face Rusev that night in a meeting of two of the company's strongest men.
The most powerful women in WWE history earned some recognition by way of YouTube video. WWE compiled a list of the 10 most powerful Divas.
It's a fun but flawed video. How on earth is Nikki Bella stronger than Aja Kong?
The big news of the week was Sting emerging on Raw for the first time ever. He allowed John Cena to score a win that allowed Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan to get their jobs back.
Ryback stayed in character, tweeting out a moving message:
Kayfabe News went in a different direction. The wrestling satire publication poked fun at Sting's light schedule:
Sting's action angered Triple H, setting the COO into a rage as WWE continues to set up a match between the two for WrestleMania. During his fury-filled reaction, Triple H shared a touching moment with a kid.
As documented by Yahoo News, The Game broke character to console a young boy after making him cry. Chris Olds tweeted a picture of the incident:
That's not a side of Triple H fans see often. Usually, he's a tyrant in a tie, bringing the hammer down on all of the roster's babyfaces. Purists will bemoan the fact that he broke kayfabe here, but it's hard to not be warmed by the story.
