Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
NFL writer Dan Pompei thinks the Jaguars made the right hire:
Bleacher Report's Christopher Hansen has more mixed feelings about Olson taking over the offensive coordinator gig:
Olson spent the past two seasons as Oakland's offensive coordinator, though in 2014 the Oakland Raiders finished 31st in points scored per game and 32 in yards per contest. He has also had stints as the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions (2005), St. Louis Rams (2006-07) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2009-11).
Olson will have some young talent to work with in Jacksonville, though the team's offense is obviously very much a work in progress.
Blake Bortles was drafted to be the quarterback of the future, while Denard Robinson emerged as a solid starting running back this past season. Young wideouts like Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee will give Olson weapons to build a passing attack around.
Revamping an offense that finished 31st in yards per game and 32nd in points per contest won't be an easy task. Olson wasn't able to help the Raiders take the next step offensively, but he'll get another chance to do so with Jacksonville's young unit.
