Super Bowl 2015: Matchup Predictions and Odds Ahead of Championship Round
In just over 24 hours, the stage will be set for four teams to attempt to clinch a berth into the 2015 Super Bowl. However, just two franchises will come away with those spots, making this one of the most intriguing weekends of the entire season.
A week after knocking off his predecessor, Andrew Luck is looking to do something he's never done in his career—beat the New England Patriots. On the completely other side of the country, the Seattle Seahawks will have a Week 1 rematch against the Green Bay Packers.
Needless to say, it doesn't get much better than this. However, it makes predicting the two teams that will eventually make the Super Bowl that much harder. That just so happens to be part of my job description, so let's jump straight into it.

Super Bowl Matchup: New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers
Sure, the Seahawks are surging and the Colts are on a huge run under Luck, but this is more about sticking to my guns. Prior to the playoffs, I chose the Packers and Patriots to run the gauntlet, and I'm not deviating from that prediction.
One reason is the ridiculous play of Tom Brady during the divisional round. The Baltimore Ravens found ways to make him uncomfortable, but Brady still pulled through with a late touchdown to win it. He also has plenty of experience on this stage, as John Buccigross of ESPN notes:
As for that game-winning drive, it concluded with Brandon LaFell catching a huge pass near the pylon to clinch an AFC Championship Game berth. His impact has been felt throughout the season for the Pats, as Brady told Ben Volin of The Boston Globe:
Along with LaFell, Brady can pick between Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and a suddenly surging Danny Amendola. Let's just say it's pick your poison with the Pats, and that, along with their stout defense, will result in a Super Bowl appearance.
On the other side will stand another quarterback with the No. 12 on his jersey. Aaron Rodgers has fought through a calf injury, but he has still posted ridiculous numbers this postseason. Of his three touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys, Rodgers scrambled out of the pocket for two—on a bum calf.
Much like Brady, Rodgers has his own repertoire of weapons to pick apart a defense with. Though Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb earn much of the spotlight—and deservedly so—Davante Adams led the team with 117 receiving yards and a touchdown against Dallas.
Nelson noted just how ready Adams is for the big stage, via the Packers' official Twitter account:
Regardless of the Super Bowl matchup, there will be a battle of 12s taking place. But at this point in their careers, Brady and Rodgers are two of the best in the league.
If all goes right for both elite signal-callers this weekend, there will be another rematch on Feb. 1.
