Must-See Matchup: Colts vs. Broncos

There is no doubt that the Ice Bowl II, or whatever it will be called, is one of the most intriguing games of the weekend. However, the storylines don't get any bigger than Manning vs. Luck.
Manning left behind a legacy in Indianapolis, but Luck is quickly making fans forget about his greatness. Now that both are propelled back into the spotlight against each other, Luck will have a chance to dethrone the former Colt.
It also gives him another opportunity to prove that he can live up to the billing that former Giants coach Jim Fassel placed on him, via Sports Illustrated:
Both quarterbacks have shined this season, with Luck finishing as the league leader in touchdown passes (40). Of course, Manning was just behind him with 39 after breaking the record last season.
Regardless of how well he plays, a loss by the Broncos on Sunday would be placed squarely on Manning, especially after the debacle in the Super Bowl last year. Cornerback Chris Harris shared his thoughts on the situation with Lindsay H. Jones of USA Today:
"The pressure is back on him now. Win or lose in the playoffs, it's always going to fall on the quarterback. It doesn't matter if we play terrible defense, or if the other team plays terrible on defense. I mean, it's always going to go on the quarterback.
At the end of the day, it's going to be on Peyton Manning.
"
Plenty of the focus will be placed on the two high-powered offenses, but the Broncos defense has a chance to steal the spotlight. Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware have a combined 24 sacks this year and have lived in the backfield of their opponents.
Denver defensive tackle Terrance Knighton referenced how the formidable duo's numbers would be better in another defense, via Jeff Darlington of NFL.com:
"It kind of hurts us that we get so many three-and-outs. If we didn't get three-and-outs, and (the defense was) playing 70 plays, 80 plays per game, they'd have 18 or 19 sacks each. They'd be competing for the top.
"
But we get off the field, and our offense has been running the ball, controlling the clock. So statistics might not show they are the best duo in the league -- but they definitely are.
There will be stars all over the field, but it will ultimately come down to which defense can limit the other dynamic offense. Even with Miller, Ware, Knighton, Harris and Aqib Talib, Luck will pick apart the Broncos and ride into the first AFC Championship Game under Luck.
